Have the people recommending Carney seen him play in the last few years?

I really doubt it and I hope that we aren't after Carney. I reckon our squad is okay. We just have to be active in the market and look to improve our squad over time.

But I think Carney has started to learn his lesson and if he messes around it will be "Carney urinates on parked car" or similar. It Probably won't be for assault/women bashing/something awful.

He will want a contract and he probably will want to keep being registered, solid and ok mentor, not a team wrecker just a self wrecker and cheap.

Carney as a mentor? He could be our very own Tyrone Biggums.

Lets face it, he has stuffed up in the past. But he won't say no to a big contract and he performs. He is not to my knowledge a wife beater and IMHO better then Barba.

No longer a Fullback though. Would go well as a halfback if we fail to get N Cleary

Don't think any team will offer big money for carney. 1 yr only contract with one in clubs favor if any. Then ship him off to Greenland straight after last game and bring him back for trials

I'd be surprised to see Ivan sign a new messiah unless it it someone he has worked with in the past and knows their attitude will fit into the side.

Hit the nail on the head. Any quality player with multiple offers see us as club that will help increase their market value at the club they are headed to. ( not us)

Said in another thread how many of our many signings this year did we beat off a few teams for there signature??? Not many if any..Of course that can all change with success, but it will take a long time and a lot of luck because your always shopping for players who are below the top rung

A lot riding on this squad to turn things around for this club. I cant visualise it at this point because of the volume of the recruitment - but would be immensely impressed if they manage to be in the mix come finals time.

I heard a rumour out of Brisbane this week that Kevin Walters will switch Milford to Fullback if he takes the reins from Wayne.

Maybe if we speed up this rumour and make enough noise, this might upset Jordan Kahu and tempt him to ask for a release?

He would be a good solid Fullback which will fit in with our current squad.
