IMO Mitchell is the hands-down top fullback prospect if we are legit about replacing Tedesco properly and Roosters have any salary cap issues.

Tui Lolohea is alright but not in Mitchell's class, I reckon the kid will really come good in the next few years if given a FB role. He won't achieve it in the centres I don't believe.

I'd go after Mitchell to fill Teddy's spot at FB, I was hinting at Mitchell wouldn't want to come here only to play centre but could be tempted here if he was given the FB position.

Who would you like us to sign for fullback? I'm struggling to think of many options if we miss out on Lolohea. Either way I am concerned that we will be missing the X factor in our squad next year but hopefully have a team that plays with a bit of heart.

The four guys I'd be going hard for to get released or sign to join would be Lattrell Mitchell, Connor Watson, Dylan Edwards and Gideon Gela-Mosby

Watson has apparently been carving up in ISP at Fullback. He's super under-rated and behind players at the Roosters.

I questioned a mate of mine who works at the Roosters in a senior position (not related to recruitment) whether the Roosters would let him go when I heard about Teddy. He basically said it would be so hard for the Roosters to keep him because he's too good to be playing reserve grade and will likely move clubs for consistent first grade. Watson also has the ability to play in the halves/hooker and could probably cover most of the other backline positions if required. He a smart player, super quick and wouldn't cost a bomb. Pretty sure he can also kick goals.

Mitchell, whilst young, will be a weapon. Covers full back and centre. Has some mistakes in his game but is only 19 with a big future.

Edwards and GGM are stuck behind players at their clubs too. Both massive talents. GGM and Edwards could both play on the wing if needed until they mature or get their shot.

You've always got Nofo who could shift back there too.

That's 5 fullback options.

Personally I'd target the lot. Most of them could play in the backline in several positions and one or two for depth. All off contract, all good players.

The only other big signings I would look at is James Graham if available and Nelson Asofa-Solomona provided the cash is there.

I'd also have a look at Curtis Rona (if available) Agnatius Paasi, Nicole-Klokstad, Hoffman/Lewis (for a year) as potential options.

He won't stay at the Roosters then with Teddy heading that way!

He could easily move to fullback and Tui to wing or centre. Personally I wouldn't splash big money at Lolohea and would prefer the other 4 I mentioned.

Tigers really need to get his right to set us up for the future with balance of experience and youth across the team. Our current ISP and 20's players are hardly much to brag about. Thomas M from 20's is probably our best prospect at this stage. For too long we've almost entirely depended on youth. You need a mix.

When Cleary cleaned out the panthers he had a mix of youth and a few old hard heads, people were laughing at Gus when he signed some of those old guys but it helped bring the younger players through.
U think he will do the same here we have a lot of youth and some old heads coming McQueen Reynolds Matulino.

Yeah I understand what you are saying but it is different. Mitchell is a goal kicking playmaker and we have nobody to replace him with - although we would be willing if we can find someone eg lolohea. Latrell is a fullback currently dropped and playing reserve grade and his club have bought James Tedesco to come and play in his position

I think across the comp you will see a lot of both pre June 30 moves happen next week when the rep break is on and als a lot of signings for next yr locked in next 2 weeks given players will have a break with rep weekend

It's half way through the year and Parra are travelling pretty well. Why would they sacrifice a player under contract that they presumably would want to keep, just to get Moses for the run home. Come October they have Moses, but are down Scott or Brown. Is it really worth losing one of those guys for the sake of getting Moses half a year early? They would be smart to just sit and wait. We are unlucky they don't have anyone appealing off contract.

Parra aren't releasing anyone they are well under the cap and signed Moses for much less than we originally offered. The reason for the blowup by the Moses camp is it cost him a few hundred thousand dollars p.a.

Moses seems fairly persistent in asking for the release I can't imagine that's only coming from his end, Parra would be having some input, they probably wouldn't want to loose a Brown or Scott but a playmaker is worth more to them right now than one of those two. Anyway it's all fantasy football at the moment I just think we can make some good moves these guys want off the bus and in Ivan we trust the conductor :smiley:

Adam Elliot and Kerrod Holland are 2 cheap off contract options from the Bulldogs that I would take.

Adam Elliot could be another Dale Finucane if given a good chance in 1st grade. Good strong edge player.
Holland - safe, good finisher, very good goal kicker (which we do not have).

Kallum Watkins from Leeds is the centre i would target if you want a top class centre. Big, strong, can depend.
I know everyone is going on about Packer but is that we really want????
I would personally like to see us get Chris HIll from Warrington, Palu or Paasi from the Titans or even Brenton Lawerence (although injuries are major concern and age )
If you also want a decent back up half, i would grab Darren Nicholls (in fact i would grab him now) - killed it in QLD Cup and was our u/20's captain a while back. Much better than Littlejohn.

No real superstars but solid players that would fit in with our current players and also strengthen our squad.
