I'm still confused,-- is Fitzgibon eligible to play in the top grade?Whats Tyrone Davis Fitzys friend got to do with the price of fish in Wuhan? Is this an Agatha Christie novel ?

Fitzgibbon is on a train and trial, people are getting a little over excited about him ?

I think Allan might the be the smoky we’ve all been salivating for at WTs SPEED his already got the moniker of the Blackflash so fingers crossed his signing eventuates with us.

Would be a win win scenario for WTs if we signed him up for 12mths and turns out to be the missing link, if not the money gets used in 2022 when heaps of players are off contract...He looks the goods.

So maybe the tigers have called the contract off?

It’s pretty late into pre season to start now. Maybe our other guys have done well enough so they’ll not worry about Gebbie. We’ve got Fitzgibbon and Tyrone Roberts Davis who are young outside backs

Late into pre-season? We haven't even started the tactical work yet, Pre Christmas is nearly always all about fitness, bonding, and very basic skills work.

Fitzgibbon doesn't even have a contract with us.

Most likely to get a NSW cup contract or a dev contract and see how he goes in the lower grade. Unlikely to see NRL anytime soon. eg Sivo spent a couple of years in lower grades before making the step up. After half a season of NSW Cup we'll see where he's at.

And hey,. if he's killing it we can always promote him. We have a few top 30 spaces left.

He’s missed a good two+ months of pre season, for someone who’s barely been in NRL systems and is mid twenties it’s a long time to be missing. He could still come over and start training but he would be a long way behind everyone else. Not saying we shouldn’t get him, just thinking that might be a reason tigers aren’t as keen for him anymore if we don’t end up getting him

If in fact we do get momirovski, yous should make a play for meaney. He won't have a first grade spot in our squad soon enough.
Yous would get him pretty cheap, is quick and has looked good at fullback. Dean pay shouldn't of changed him to the wing. Looked like he was starting to find his feet before he was moved to the wing.

Agreed, I wouldn’t say no to Meaney, lots of upside I reckon.

Can't really say the Bulldogs are a weak club. We are one of the biggest Sydney clubs. We've only been down on the ladder since our cap strain where near all our senior players had to be let go. Wont stay down for long though.
Plus meaney is better than mbye and arguably better than Laurie.
And is a decent goal kicker aswell

Lol, You are one of Sydney's smallest clubs. Alongside Manly and the Sharks, as small local clubs.

You've been down the ladder for a decade due to complete incompetence throughout the club.

Signing a hack as coach and offering players ridiculously over priced contracts won't change this.

Taylor was completely obsessed with Rankin's pre-season training and kept him in first grade all season.

Taylor was an absolute idiot

Taylor and I. Clearly defiantly kept us out of finals contention and pushed us back a couple of years with their decision in signing and letting players go

Taylor gets a bad wrap. It's unwarranted in some regards.
He had our attack going great but the team had uncoachable egos.
You had Moses dogging matches, you had Simona fixing them and Robbie's attitude and we only just missed the 8.
Difficult job and not everyone is perfect.

Taylor was a cancer that needed to be removed. The club is still suffering the after effects of the chemotherapy.

Ivan did worse damage with his signings.
Taylor just did as he was instructed by the board and got knifed in the back for it.

No matter your opinion. The facts show he has been our best coach since Sheens.
Just couldn't manage the egos that had been left to run rampant for the previous decade.

Interesting to note that he's wearing number 5 (obviously a winger number) and Mikaele and Stefano are in 15 and 16 which are interchange numbers (where they will likely play).

Yes, the club was in negotiations with Mansour but refused to sign him for more than 2 years. Here’s a quote from NRL website:

“The Tigers meanwhile have been in discussions with Mansour after he was told by Penrith that he faced starting 2021 in reserve grade behind youngsters Brian To'o and Charlie Staines.

Mansour is believed to want a three-year contract as he eyes an early departure from the Panthers.

But NRL.com understands the Tigers are only willing to consider a two-year commitment given he turns 31 in June.”

Bulldogs definitely aren’t a small club mate. Comparing them to Cronulla and manly is quite laughable

Also they have had much more success than us the last decade

Sheen's left the place in worse shape. Backended deals crippled us for the next 5 years. Left a sick culture that only now is being cleaned up.
Taylors only crime is he has the people skills and personality of a gumboot.
