The Fainu brothers mail has always been the same - we’re favourites to get them still but our recent efforts and speculation around head office is making them consider options. They’re sold on the club just unsure on the stability.

The word was that Dolphins have been quietly told no but take that how you want - Dragons also making calls and maybe Dogs could be an option.

Nothing on TMM, but Benji does rate him as he was tearing up our reserve grade whilst Benji was around from memory.

Also don’t see Metcalf leaving (just an opinion)… he’s starting to really hit some form and the whole warriors team are starting to click. He probably sees SJ only having about 2 years left and the 7 jersey is his - playing alongside him and picking his brain is appealing and he also has RTS coming next year too.

Metcalf is on a pretty basic deal at the Warriors so if we've offered a decent upgrade he could probably get a release fairly easily for next year, especially with TMM and Volkman and Harris-Tavita coming back next year

He's on around 250-300k. Warriors outbid a number of clubs to snare him. He's not on Wakeham money...

I think Curran could be as good as IP personally.

Curran is now surplus to the Warriors requirements.
As others have pointed out Metcalfe would now be after a substantial pay increase, I don’t think the Warriors could afford to give him much of an increase.
Edward Kosi and Viliami Vailea are both also surplus to their requirements, but would be a great addition to our backline.
Please stay away from Volkman he just stands and passes, he will not help us.

And i think there's buckleys chance that he would accept that. Maybe in 5-10 years time, but no chance it happens anytime soon. An 18 year old, egotisitcal queensland junior halfback, 185cm, isn't going to give up the money and prestige of playing in the halves so he can triple his tackle count every week. Heck Schuster still doesn't want to and he's a giant in comparison!
