Which guy? Doueihi? Plays a specialist position? Has played every position 1 - 7, the fact he is not a specialist is my biggest problem with him.

Not against Douehi but not at full freight, the Bunnies backended the contract and it's a bit like letting them off the hook.

With Arrow arriving in 21, looking at what they have off contract next year and their current forward strength they appear to be getting themselves into a bit of a mess cap wise and then it appears they are not willing to pay any freight, a bit arrogant for a club that may be in a salary cap mess come 2021 if they don't offload some baggage.

But that's always been Wayne's way, never had trouble off loading or getting a player to retire to fit in any new big buy he wanted at the Donkeys, but will it work at the Bunnies.

I see the Bunnies ATM throwing everything at a chance at a premiership I mean this season next at a pinch ! Let’s face it Bennett will be using a Zimmer frame in the not to distant future and will start forgetting how to get to Redfern oval for training ! There seems a real feel of desperation around the Burrow they are really pushing the salary cap ceiling !

They have bigger problems than they know. Latrell and Arrow and good signings for them but if you have a look they have 2/3's of their roster off contract next year including Cook & Murray and they could be decimated. I think that is some of the incentive to move people now.

I’d happily throw 850k at Cameron Murray

Souths will struggle keeping him especially when Cook is off contract at the same time..

Murray will be the best lock in the game within the next year or two I reckon

Long term I think he’s a 5/8 but he can play both positions really well.

We already have Mbye who is a fb that can pass, but cant catch.

Dont get me wrong, of all the suggestions, Doueihi is the least bad suggestion Ive seen recently, but I think we need specialists. Someone who you KNOW is a specialist.

So as we stand now....
Thompson we have which while being no specialist will play his guts out. We know what we get with him
Linked to AJ who is a winger but no specialist. Proven 1st grader but not at the position we need. On good coin
Linked to Doueihi who plays 5/8 but can play fb. Potential but that's a bit of a double edged sword. Potential doesn't always translate to a long healthy career.....I would assume not as much coin as AJ but more years ahead of him....

Too many options for something that we need, but can't find the right player.....

Same here mate, I think Madge has got us going good, training hard, picking a good crop of young juniors, getting the forwards humming (Packer hopefully too).

All we need is a bit of luck in recruiting a back or two, and we can really have a good tilt.
