Another report today saying we are keeping an eye on Jack De Belin too. Don’t see him leaving dragons if found innocent though, would be a dog move considering they stood by him through the whole thing.

Would love to have him, was one of the best locks going around (don't think he would leave either), but his old man did play for the Tigers.

I'd struggle to support the club if we signed de belin tbh.

Obviously we would not be signing him if he is guilty Avo as he will be in goal.

If he is not guilty and we were lucky enough to sign him - why would you struggle?

I can tell you now he will not go to Goal
That much I can Guarantee
If he is lucky he might one day kick a Goal

We let Matterson go and i am sure Parra are in the ear of Stefano and i expect a backflip to come so why cant we get in Grant's ear, Momo i dont worry so much as we have Tommy "second coming " Talau who everyone seems to rate so he should be able to tske Mmbye's spot if he has to.
We are naive if we dont think that talking to players to backflip doesnt happen... look at Teddy and the Raiders

I gotta say that attitude is poor. Justifying low character decisions because other low characters do it too. There’s a way to do it and a way not to . Enticing a player to backflip whilst you’re conducting a revolutionary loan deal , is definitely not the way. But hey , when it happens to us again I’m sure all you guys will scream bloody murder. The hypocrisy is real.

I'm sure when Grant goes back to Melbourne or another club grab him (because we didn't try to keep him) and he turns out to be a real superstar.

Everyone will be saying "Good on the Tigers, that had principals, haven't got a decent DH but they did what was right by the NRL."

Bad luck the NRL never do the right thing by the Tigers.

When you chose to act unethically in a closed environment of 15 other businesses ,who you’re all partners with in the growth of the game , how is that even sustainable . Especially when the introduction of loans and trades could be on the horizon. NRL fans do my head in at times

And it is the number 1 reason NRL or RL hasn’t pushed into other states, brought in trades, expanded the international game , and so on and on. “It’s a tribal game “ is crap. It’s an excuse to be a self interested , short sighted moron . I’ve said this before , if we want grant we should have to pay for him a transfer fee , upon his loan expiry. It works overseas.

You really just don't seem to understand that there would be absolutely nothing unethical about us signing him. Everything totally above board. Aggressive yes, but not even in the slightest wrong, immoral unethical or whatever you want to imagine it.

The player is potentially off contract at the end of the season. He's playing for us, and if we can impress him and he wants to stay then that's awesome.

If he wants to go back to the storm and compete that's his choice too.

I understand it perfectly . He’s on a loan . He’s not our player . We should be trying to impress him , and make him feel important . We should have a plan in place IF, IF IF Cameron chooses to play on, and that clause is triggered.
We should not be actively trying to get him to renegotiate on his existing contract, manipulating behind the scenes , getting his manager to make stuff up about his mental health etc.
That is Skullduggery. And we should have a bit of class and self respect.

You made a great point when you mentioned how groundbreaking Grant playing for us is. The whole concept would be scrapped before it’s even gotten off the ground. The hypocracy with the Matterson and Stefano situations is off the chart. There were people on this forum baying for Parra’s blood because they wouldn’t release Stefano immediately to us, like it was some underhanded tactic. No, they were just holding him to his contract. And Matterson., they are encouraging our club to do exactly what they wanted Parra investigatesd for doing.

Momo is pretty worthless, he can’t even make it into the Storm side with first and second stringers out, so this doesn’t apply to him. But can you imagine if we sent a player down there we rated highly, say Jake Simpkin. Imagine he was killing it week after week, and then whispers began that Bellamy was actively seeking to keep him there. I can’t even describe the meltdown. People would be threatening to burn down NRL headquarters, FTB would be probably hit breaking point and finally hire a hitman to take Bellamy out. It would be uglier than a Susan Boyle nude selfie.
