SIMPKIN is definitely a keeper, Harry was still playing Q Cup at 21, a lot of developing left, going to be a gun.

As I said in my first post, he’s so far behind where Farah was at the same age.

How about Liddle?
What was he doing at that age ?

Similar to what Simpkin is doing, recovering from a shoulder reconstruction after playing little first grade.

He did have more regular football in the lower grades though

He and Brandon Smith were probably on equal terms at NYC level ....that has changed big time though

Hope he is ok. The test the physio did before he took him off was for a fibula fracture. Could be an 8-12 week injury. Let's hope it was just an ankle sprain.

Yep just saw the presser, he said he might be ok but I wouldnt be 100% sure until they get scans with how he looked

By the time of the presser he had been on the green whistle for some time, he wouldn’t have been feeling anything.

Simpkin played bloody well. His performance tonight is what we've seen in reserve grade. Finally he has elevated himself to first grade standard. Sadly, much like Asu Kepaoa, he got a potentially long term injury in his breakout game.

He was indicating the pain was higher up his leg, above the ankle.

After the game when the team song was going the ice was off the leg but still on crutches.
Madge sounded confident but cautious.
Lets hope its a 2-4 week injury, we can do with a break from injuries at the moment.

We also need a break to have stability in the spine.
1,6,7 & 9 all combined & played how we want them to do. It's a glimpse of what is possible.

Was good to see him out on the field on crutches after the game soaking up the atmosphere with team mates.

What a performance, added such a huge boost to our attack and got the forwards over the advantage line. So gutted he got injured as now we are back to the hand brake Liddle. If the rumour posted is right that they are looking at offloading this young man, someone should be shot, he is going to be a star.

Yeah I’ve always been very pro Liddle - not at the cost of this young hooker though. Unlocks the middle. Wish they’d alternate and both find their running games simultaneously.
