The topic says enough. There is so much floating around and I am not enough in the know to post valid thoughts. So please, educate me - but pls give an available replacement and why he will do better than Sheens.

None

Only other coaches going around in the That I would want are Wayne Bennett and Craig Bellamy.

Royce….I mean have you seen the way he lays out the witches hats on game day....best in the business,,,

Or ....Nathan Brown....

None better BUT if Sheens was to leave and I don't look forward to the day this happens I would like to see Stephen Kearney given a go. New blood new ideas but I muxt reitterate only if Sheens decides to go.

Guys, there is no better coach other than Wayne Bennet in the game than Sheens!….and despite the disappointments of the last 4 years and his blunder not to replace prince with a proper halfback, I'm glad he's on our side!...look around..the so called up and coming wonder coaches all fizzled to be nothing...sticky stuart.(yuk), J.Taylor....Nathan Brown...Freddy Fittler....their inexperience and inability to coach and be a mentor to their players has found them out...Bunji knows what he's on and for that reason he will not be coached by anyone else but Sheens!..Tim Sheens stay as long as you want mate!!...but develop your successor now... and sorry Roycey it aint you...Kearney...yes,,,Folkes yes...the others mentioned no thanks!

i think only bellamy is better then sheens - bennett and sheens the same - folkes and kearney on the next tier down. So yes, if we could snag bellamy then i would only then replace sheens. But im happy to have sheens, wouldnt want him to go to souths, and bellamy is happy at "in americant accent', 'melborne'

Good Post however I disagree with the comment "and his blunder not to replace prince with a proper halfback"

Coach has been trying however there hasnt been the talent out their on the market that we really wanted and coud afford over the last few seasons.

As for Bellamy - If he was to leave Melb it would only be his former employers - The Broncos

I remember watching an interview in the last twelve months where Belly ache actually said he regretted not taking on the Tigers job at the time as he did it for family reasons. That is why he jumped at the Melbourne offer as he didn't want to have that same regret. As already posted though I think his next move would be back to the Broncs for belly ache.

I for one am in favour of S Kearney while being mentored by Sheens as a transitional plan. I don't think the next coach thing needs to be a complete cleanout, but rather a planned transition. We all saw how well the Kiwis went with S Kearney and Wayne Bennent as a mentor. Stephen Humpries comes across as a very methodical planner and I am sure that if Sheensie gave up the gig that it would be within a planned transitional role (Similar to what John Lang was doing at Souths).

Theres not a lot out there at the moment but if Sheens cant deliver its time to give another a chance. Im hoping it wont come to this but last year there was a lot of mistakes by Sheens in the players chosen and rotation of the bench. The Manly game springs to mind where we had 2 players back from injury in our pack and he didnt use our 17th man in Morris (great tackler) till the 75th minute. Massive error and not the first that year. Marshall at 7 for sooooo long also springs to mind.

Folkes is the only reasonable option, and Folkes' first move should be a new defensive coach!!!

yes, but he's not playing in the same position with the same number on his back. thats the point i think that person was trying to make i think.

It kills me how many people think that Benji is playing so well because he is no longer our halfback. do people watch the games???

Sheens can coach, but geez he can't pick a team,we had Fitzy in the halves for so long,Morris in there for 2 and half seasons,Bronson playing prop,Moltzen at fullback,Galea at prop,Farah at half(cost him the Dally M),a winger on the bench most weeks I could go on but it is too painfull,he can't or won't admit he gets it wrong sometimes.

The general consensus so far is that Sheens is right up there with the best. I did expect to hear from the Fonz haters and was keen to hear their reasoned arguments on this topic …?

Kearney no doubt would be Marshall's pick if Sheens decided to move on.

Absolutely correct mate. He was doing different things with the 7 on his back. People need to go back and have a second look at the difference in Marshalls game. Dont believe Sheens when he says Marshall plays the same whether he wears the 6 or the 7\. Thats Sheens covering his own butt. Marshalls game differs greatly with the 6 on his back. Go have another look guys!!!

Steve Kearney? No way.

Why?

That's why. Add to this the history between the two clubs and it's like asking Billy Slater to be the Wests Tigers coach as reward for kicking Skando in the face, but a thousand times worse!!!

Sheens isn't perfect, (I agree, from time to time he's done things that I can't understand - but I readily admit he's probably forgotten more than I'd ever know about football) but if the bashers got their way and he was given the flick, the new coach would have a ticking bomb underneath them ready to go off at the first stumble or decision people don't like.

Coaches and players will come and go, but this jersey and this team has all my support.

Go Wests Tigers

This stuff makes me laugh. You guys think the Sheens bashers are annoying, however the Sheens chest beaters after 1 win are equally as nauseating.

Sheens seems to be building us up nicely again similar to what he did in 2004\. However how is anyone to know that no coach could of done a better job between 2006 and 2009?? Fittler, Nathan Brown, Folkes, Hagan, Taylor, Cleary, Stuart and 1000 others all made finals series during this period. Some clubs are more paitent then others. If Sheens was at another club he would of been out the door by now.
