Yeah  , they got a letter from the Principal Today and the letter said that School will not be on tomorrow due to the Cyclone so there busting my balls if they can stay up tonight and wait for it , like it's New Years Eve or something .
I bloody love them .

How does that work :wtf

We find out at 6.00 am in the morning and we are only about 250 kms as the crow flies

Probably hardest thing for my Mrs is her Aunt got put into ICU yesterday , her lungs are full of blood clots

Not looking good

Thank you for your nice and kind offer FT. You are wonderful. My nan is fiercely independent, but i managed to talk her in to having one of her lovely neighbours, stay with her tonight. They all keep an eye out for her, which is a real relief for me. Thanks again FT. I appreciate your offer so much :slight_smile🙂

I'm quite confident you guys will get through this unscathed. I've seen that Queensland spirt come forth many times. I know you guys will help each other to get through this one like your've done a hundred times before. Best wishes. Tigerdon

Bloody hell , this cyclone has less of an idea than Sheens does

Turned South West now , and now I'm starting to worry

SSW or South might have Happy looking for the Evac Centre

Absolutely no rain , but the wind has picked up

You OK CQ ??

Cyclone's past Airlie now TT , It would need to do an enormous backflip to worry them

Got a message from someone in Mackay and they reckon it is still as and the Cyclone is about 170 km's away

Praying for all you guys up there. Please be wise and stay safe. We all want to see you safe and sound and back on the forum, once this thing blows away, and hopefully it will blow away very quickly.

Its a bit like a WT's season Hobbo , lots of twists and turns to come

It would be 18 hours away at least from Gladstone

I'll tell what will be strange though , tell me the last time a major Cyclone has hit landfall during the day ??

Going to be some amazingly scary footage I reckon

Just watching Sky news , Gladstone has never been hit by a cyclone or by winds like you could get .
The ocean was brown on the TV .
Hang in their mate and hopefully it fizzes out !

Qld has only ever had 5 x Cat5 Cyclones…. But I have never seen a Tropical Low develop into a Cat4/5 within a 24 hour Period.

That has got to be a record?

Buckle Down Boys & Girls...
