Talau

I don't see any problem with him not being in the team and I certainly don't think it says anything negative about him. Two of our highest paid players are Mbye and Leilua - he's not going to start over them.

To say he didn’t stand out in the lower grades is a little harsh. Made NSW U18’s and U’20’s

He went from under 20’s to reserve grade to first grade in less than a season, and scored a bunch of tries when playing reserves. 4 tries and a try assist in his first nine games is pretty good. Played 1 game this year and bagged a double.

He’s a real weapon in attack, powerful ball runner and has good hands, certainly has the potential to become a good player just needs to work on defence and some of the other little things. The coaches really seem like they don’t want to put pressure on him and want to slowly blood him into first grade

Good post. He will be one of our long term centres together with young Kei. Both are outstanding talents.

Kei is one for the future. Great little player by the looks of it

Little? Have another look at his highlights. The young bloke has size and speed.

Nothing beats a good 41 second Under 16's highlight reel...

Talau is rightly behind the current incumbents in our current FG team ...but no doubt will see FG again this year be it due to injury suspension or form...

Canterbury Cup may be back also..

From the Penrith trial Kei looked like a slightly quicker version of Nof. Not sure of his actual frame but he looked short and stocky

Full contact sport can resume in WA from next week, I think the chances of CC resuming this year are very good.

[Post-Match: Tommy Talau - Wests Tigers](https://www.weststigers.com.au/news/2020/06/28/post-match-tommy-talau/)

Been going through the videos on our website. Wow, this kid really impressed me with how he spoke. For a person who is only 19, he seems to have it together. None of this "yeah the boys" crap. He strikes me as a guy who is self-aware and a good learner.

i hate that lol

every interview

*yeah its all credit to the boys though, they put in the effort*

I think talau will end up in the back as he is getting bigger he’s also getting slower. I’d play him lock he will get a big test this week if he’s marking too

No offence Walter but I don't think that is a prudent idea. Just my 2c.

None taken I just think he will end up in the back row Good luck to the kid but I think the better sides will work him out playing out wide

He could also comfortably fit into a power 5/8 or centre role.
It will be interesting to watch his development.
He’s only on the starter block so long way to go.
