Taylan "Tiny" May

An educated guess says this is very close to being accurate.
There is no doubt Benji and Wests Tigers like Craig Bellamy and Melbourne Storm before them are sick and tired of Olam’s constant injuries and refusal to take part in pre season or any training because of them and are therefore desperate to get him off our books.
I’d say it is highly likely a potential medical retirement is being held up by Olam’s refusal to accept it, he’d much rather sit around doing nothing and making himself available to play a couple of games each season until he can potentially earn another big contract when the PNG team enter the NRL competition.
He’s taking the piss and should be forced to medically retire by the NRL and if he makes a miraculous recovery to allow him to play for the PNG team then so be it.
Tough call!I think he lives in hope that maybe one day a miracle will happen
..and theres no downside for him to continue down this path
Dont think theres an easy solution tbh
Difference is Bellamy got many gr8 years out of Olam..whereas we were just his super fund!
Key for us is not to lose Taylon to another club,as hes a definite upgrade on our centres

Monday morning priority. Number 1
Sign the kid and get it done x 3;years
250 = 2025
500 = 2026
600 = 2027. Club option with future extension as he is only young
WHY?

I mean seriously why say this?
I am pretty sure we have the cap space this season.
Why backend someone and ruin 2026/2027?
Are we really going to make the top 8 this season? Are we really going to play the grand final that we should hobble ourselves for 26/27???

Tyrone May isn't the kind of player we should frontload. But we shouldn't backend-load this guy. Why harm our future.

I think the 1st year at 250k is because half of the paying year is already gone so Pro-rata it would really be 500k or there abouts this year.

Also think it’s Taylan, not Tyrone!

At the end of the day… the Tigers only have themselves to blame …. Even us nobodies here knew he was a croc and said so from the moment he was linked with them

It’s not backendint dude … it’s almost April . The nrl contract runs from November -November . So it’s litterally halfway through the season .
So half of 500-600 is 250-300k .

He could do a Inglis , he retired with a injury then played again

it’s Taylan May- ex panthers, Centre , gun player in a position we need
And it’s not front loading it’s a 3 year deal with part of 2025 already gone so the amount is lower

This season is half over..its next season $650k for Olam thats the problem...+$600 Latu(which may be redundat if Galvin resigns)+$500 Bud...
But u can bet if Galvin does re-sign with WTs,Manly will be all over a Latu return
Bud..hmm...think we mite get stuck with him as our reserve half
