Potter had no control, and Taylor can't steer his team in the direction that he wants. Pisses me off that a coach has to wear the blame all the damn time. I hope he just decides to play Cherrington and Ballin more often than not.
Outrageous that a coach who knew what roster he had to work with when he signed with the club cannot simply get rid of a player with 2 years left on his contract. Even more so that said player would stand up to the illustrious coach and hand him his backside in a sling.
If the relationship is so bad, between the two which it clearly is given all that has transpired, then surely the coach should be able to have the final say. Obviously he can't cut him adrift and not pay the guy, but surely the club should support his decisions made during his tenure. After all, it was Taylors vision that they were depending on. Not the wants of an ageing footballer. But no - the club has a spine of peanut brittle. Strong clubs focus on a vision. And they set a course and don't sway from it - it's called belief. I don't agree with Taylors game plans, but at the end of the day, he should be in charge - not Farah, not Ayoub, not the media and not the fans.
