THE 4......THREAD

Ali said 'I've been told'… when in actual fact it was a copy and paste from the NRL Rumour Mill... which is run by zero tackle who get their stuff from sportal...Meanwhile the Lurker and Moley are sitting back smoking a cigar having a giggle..

In an earlier post Ali revealed that Teddy's signing will be announced in a couple of days..which is code for the end of the week..

Lol, I was just looking at the NRL Rumour Mill page, Geo.. I can't believe it, its like word with Ali's page. Haha
Even the Tigers big 4 rumour

Just went to comment and tell him he's full of it and I can't. I think I'm blocked from commenting for reminding him about his Seggy to the Sharks prediction one too many times.

And on cue Lurky comes out with this gem…

Player managers sharpening knives for JT

The Tigers may have been the standout team of round one, but coach Jason Taylor still needs to watch his back.

**Two leading player managers have made it their mission to destroy Taylor**, one for personal reasons and the other because he has players at the club who believe Taylor can’t take them to the next level.

So while the Tigers are off to a flying start, poor Taylor is under the heat.

Player managers are among the most powerful figures in rugby league and they will put the pressure on Tigers management to get rid of Taylor for next season.

If he has a strong season - and on the demolition of Souths the Tigers look slick - then he may survive.

But if the team struggles, the knives will be out, with the player managers pushing for change.

They will put the heat on the Tigers board, using the players as pawns in their bid to oust Taylor. Rugby league has always been a very political game - as Jason Taylor is about to find out.

That article insults your intelligence on so many levels I'm actually peeved. Most articles like that you can laugh off, but when it talks it down to you, making out that Taylor underperforming this year means he's gone is breaking news, i find it offensive.

The media in this country is disgusting

I flick thru stations in the car to and from work, listening to MMM yesterday they were talking about Worlands mate Hugh Jackman and how Womans day had a front page of *Hugh and wife divorce*
Worland stated Jackman told him its BS, they had refused interviews with that publication and since then the mag had printed BS about them.
They were condemning Womans Day while at the same time they do exactly the same thing about NRL

We do not have a big 4\. We have a big 1\. Would give the family farm to Tedesco to stay here. The others are replaceable with options available to fill that hole.
I would take Widdop over both our halves after todays performance

Im a bit over hearing about 'The Big 4' and where the club is at with their contracts. Especially on days when they lose by 34 points at home. I have to agree. Tedesco staying beyond this year is really the only thing that grabs my interest.

A week is a long time in Rugby League..

It is. I just get tired of hearing about it and all the guessing and speculation that goes with it. I think it will start to become a big distraction as this season goes on. I would have felt the same had they won today.

The rot set in after Woods and Ava were replaced i am truly amazed that some people only see the flashy and good Tedesco and not the hard working and good Woods.Without Woods up front our pack is at best bog average with little go forward and no size.We need both for the club to progress to the next level.
For people who say Woods can be replaced ask yourself who by?He is imo the best prop in Australia and we are lucky to have him.

After Teddy and Woods we have to look at our forward pack and if we can still afford Moses that is good but if we can't it's not the end of the world, as for the no7 I think the money he wants can be spent a lot better elsewhere

Yet Teddy is the best fullback in the world and Australia still don't pick him :crazy

But I agree with Woods

Im happy to pay overs for Woods and Tedesco. They have a trait we haven't had in years which is consistency. Re-signing them two is so so important. Id even say Nofa is now our 3rd most important signing. As for our halves, if someone is willing to pay $1million or whatever they think they are worth then you know what see you later. We would then have plenty of money to spend on bulking our forward pack (evans and McQueen) get a decent speedy centre and winger. If we need to pay $1million dollars each to keep our halves then we wont have money left to build our squad and we will just stay in this position for a long long time.
