The great home ground debate thread

If we get off to a good start and put points on them early our confidence will grow as I don;t think the chooks are a team to run us down. However if we play like we did against the Tits we will be in trouble.

come out fighting..the chooks looked shot last night the humid conditions will no thave treated them well.

The ground arrangements are obviously not ideal, but watching them play against NQ last night, we should beat them. TBH, I think the Roosters are vastly overrated, ever since they beat Parra, people have been making some ridiculous claims about them.

If you can buy 10 tickets per membership - does that mean if you have a family membership you can buy 40 tickets or does it still remain at 10.

By the way guys, lets stop arguing internally and get behind the players. I'm going to take as many people as possible.

Alien you're still a goose for trying to make this a Balmain v Wests thing. Get it over it.

Does the family membership come with individual cards and member numbers ICON…?

Each ticketed member can purchase 10 tickets..My daughter has a membership and is entitled to purchase 10 tickets

Thought you'd be happy Ink. Your whole case for having the game at LO was so we would get more members for 2011\. The tigers now have turned the game at the SFS as a way to get more members.

No/….it wasnt my _whole_ case.
Just part of it.
The team & result comes first for me...I want the best advantage for that, and imo my point is my point, been done to death, agree to disagree

There are 4 cards but they all have the same membership number…, i assume that means a max of 10 tickets. Thanks.

i hope every thread this week isn't polluted by these gimps.

this forum should be a place of celebration & enjoyment being our 2nd ever trip to the finals.

there is no clear advantage to playing the game at LO or CS.
we don't train & play every 2nd weekend on those grounds. it would be 50 / 50 crowd wherever we go. infact being at the sfs will unsettle the roosters normal routine's as they won't have the run of the facilities. i assume.
dragons et al have lost at thier "clearly advantageous suburban home grounds".
tigers have won finals at this ground.
roosters have lost finals at this ground. ('08 vs brisbane. crowd - 18,343)(hmmm could this crowd figure be compared to a tigers final vs bronc's?)
& i bet the players would love to play in front of 40,000 instead of 20,000 of which half would be opposition fans.

get over it & just enjoy this rare moment.

or preferably put a leather mask over your heads & go hide under the floor boads of your dominatrix' dungeon.

some people are just not happy unless they are complaining about something.

What would you rather? That we missed out?

Give yourselves an uppercut

questionable home ground advantage aside, i think roosters are the most beatable for us.
out of easts, warriors, and raiders i think roosters are the least in form
and we just dont do well against manly

My only complain is that Roosters members should not be able to buy tickets on the Monday, like we can.

It's our home game and we should get first dibs.

Other than that, nothing to see here. We were never, ever going to play a semi final at Leichhardt and Campbelltown and anyone who thought so is simply deluded.

As for the game, bit worried about the Roosters, would have much preferred to play the Warriors…

Thayis how I see it … We must have some advantage ...hopefully the crowd will be 75% WT Fans , balance Roosters fans ....just bring it on , I say

We are not going to win the comp guys sorry but I am real supporter long term and you need a halfback and fullback to win the comp. It would not hurt either having the administrators of the club supporting the team either. I mean honestly do you guys think the roosters would rather play at sfs or one of our other 3 home grounds? Why don't we play it in China they have 2 billion people there and we could get a heap more in. Alan Jones, moves to Parramatta, Merge now lets give our home final advantage away in our 2nd finals campaign in 20 years. It aint rocket science

Evidently us "non-real supporters" have no clue what so ever. Thanks for the insight Probids. Fairdinkum we dead set have some of the most fickle fans in the NRL. We have to whinge about EVRYTHING the club, coach and team does. If we played at Leichhardt or Campbelltown people would be whinging that they cant get tickets, the club takes it to the SFS to accommodate fans and guess what, people still whinge! You've been crying for four years that we havent played semi final footballs and now we make it people still whinge! Why cant people be happy and enjoy the fact we're playing in the finals for once.

"you need a halfback and fullback to win the comp"…..

There is 15 others players in this team who might have something to say about that, not to add the guy in the 7 & 1 jumper each week. But, if that's your way of not over committing yourself, and having a "I told you so" clause in your posts, good on ya...

The way I see it, Chooks, Tigers, Black Cats & Dragon are right in this comp and one could very well be raising the Norm Proven Trophy in 4 weeks. My cash is on the Tigers!!!

I have not been crying since 2005 pal more like 1990 and I would gladly give up my seat to anyone if it means giving my team every chance to win this game. That is called support and Do you think the roosters fans, players and staff are not laughing at us right now???

oh my god you need a half back 5/8 hooker and fullback like we did in 2005\. We do not have a fullback or halfback. These guys playing there now will gain experience from this campaign but we will not win it. It is awesome we are there and I would like to see Sheens appointed for next 7 years to take these guys through their careers. We will win comps but not this year. By the way I am not here to bag fellow supporters and respect others opinions if I agree or not

Bring on Saturday night. I can't wait. Big crowd, big game atmosphere. Maintaining possession the key - we can't (and won't) drop the ball like friday night.
Long range weather forecast is for a dry track, 20 degrees, strong westerly winds.
Go you mighty Tigers.

Chris you are right whatever the club does is wrong by some people, we will have a couple of players back for this game & we will beat the chooks. still wouldnt be surprised to see moltzen on the bench.

Asked Humphries the Moltzen question yesterday, and he said "we will have to wait and see…"
