The punters/Tim Grant

Cheap, big, decent stats? In a position we're a bit light on? I don't see how this wouldn't be welcome news.

Yeah true , but as someone else said it does have the Ryan O'Hara Mk II written all over it

Ryan O'Hara was on about 400k, or somewhere around that. Grant will cost next to nothing. Him being a failure would almost be the equivalent to one of the QLD cup boys we signed amounting to nothing. It's not comparable

I know that nobody will agree with me, but Ryan O'Hara, when he played 1st grade, the Tigers were far more competitive in matches.

I can't remember for certain, but I think I remember his win percentage when he played 1st's for the Tigers was pretty solid in years where I'm not sure many others could say the same..

I think we need to find some credibility on the players market to attract other players GNR

Latching on to another club's dead wood doesn't really excite me

I know that people have said that Grant couldn't cope with Madge's intensity at Souths , but he also struggled in his last season at Penrith

And for the record, if Tim Grant is available at reduced costs, then he is worth a shot. If it doesn't work out, so be it. But we are long on promise & short on proven ability at prop.

Plus, he comes from a winning culture…

Until we can sort the cap mess, it's all we can do Happy. It's why we didn't show any interest in any of the gun centres that recently came on the market. Hopefully it will be sorted going into 2017 and we can find a way to compete.

O'Hara was great for us in his last yr in 08\. I was actually disappointed to see him go based off his form that yr.

He was bought by coach Tim Sheens to add some size to the small Wests Tigers pack and was a regular in first grade in 2006, playing in 22 games. For the next two seasons he managed just eight appearances in the next 2 seasons, and was later described as one of the worst buys in NRL history.[4] He played four games straight in 2007, all victories, before having his jaw broken. He returned to lower grades towards the end of the season, before having his jaw broken again at the start of 2008, and didn't return to first grade until round 22.[5]

15 wins from 30 games. Pretty much average for that period.

I suspect we will pick up another prop from a club desperate to make space for someone better. Whether that's Grant, Brenton or someone else is yet to be seen.

Fifita 😛ray:

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Fifita

Boooyaaaaa

How about we buy a brown dog -

Has more sense and unless he defecates on the field won't give away any penalties, and could run around for 80 minutes.

Could be a good buy.

Certainly better than Fifita imo.

Is this the same James Hooper that tweeted Roberts would be staying at the Titans..?

Mole tweets today that it's official or will be soon

Tim Grant >> WTs

B Lawrence >> Roosters

Really like the look of our pack with the addition of Grant (assuming the Mole isn't talking through his fundamental orifice)
