I just got a text saying this is now official, but have not seen anything in the media

From who?

I'd rather not say specifically, but someone involved in the game. Although better than a guy in a pub, not always reliable.

All good mate, just thought you meant from the club :sign:

According to today's Sunday Telegraph Tim Grant has not yet been signed by Wests Tigers. Souths were happy to let him go if they signed James Roberts but now that Roberts has been signed by Broncos, Souths are not so enthusiastic on letting Grant go. Wests Tigers however are still interested in signing Grant.

Same articke also says that Bulldogs are looking to offload Lloyd Perrett to save 900k over 3 years. Given that we have 250k to spend on a prop, we could pay most of his contract. Would you take him or Grant? If dogs can't offload him, it may impact on the offer that they can make to Klemmer and not sure how many minutes Perrett could play. In my opinion though is more upside to him than there is to Grant

I don't think the club has much money left to spend on another new player for 2016 but whatever money they do have left I hope they spend it wisely.

Think that I would take Perrett over Grant. Grant has experience, but think that Perrett has a better upside. It would depend on how much the club they are coming from are prepared to subsidise. Bulldogs would have to contribute for Perrett for 3 years, Grant 2 years from Souths, although I am sure that the dogs will be putting any cas saved by releasing Perrett into keeping Klemmer.

Gus Gould seems to think Tim Grant had signed with us. I asked him how he thought the Tigers would go this year

Fox sports reporting it will happen today

It would be like Keith Galloway has never left , don't think a great deal of money would of been spent in getting Tim Grant over to us…..he knows a good opportunity would represent to him in being in the 17 week in week out.

He will be a worthwhile bargain.

good news if true, we already have young, big props (Graham 190cm, 102kg; J Grant 189cm, 104kg; Falise 185cm, 111kg; Tatola 186cm, 118kg; Sokobalava 185kg, 114kg, Stone ??) and we need another big, but experienced prop like Tim Grant.

Im extremely happy about this.
