That is far from what the modern feminist thinks. The blame of that video should not be in Miley but on Thicke because it was HIS revolting song. The fact that he has a wife doesn't stop him from being a massive misogynist. He's said before, in all seriousness "what a pleasure it is to degrade women". His song is about a woman who clearly doesn't want "it" being told repeatedly "I know you want it" before him saying that consent is a "blurred line". That's a song about rape.
Modern feminism strives for equality. It is perceived as women wanted a superior position because so many men incorrectly believe women to be equal in representation in today's society, and that therefore the feminist movement is invalid. Which is just untrue. Women are still objectified and underrepresented in nearly every area of modern society, and songs like Blurred Lines do nothing but counteract any kind of equality or respect feminist are trying to achieve.
When Lauper talks about "men" she's placing blame not on every individual man, but the society that men created through their decades of being largely in power. She's not targeting you, or every man, but the societal structure that men benefit from.
Tell me, how is any of that Miley's fault? Her dance was racist, that needs to be acknowledged, but that's not the point anyone is trying to make. People are attacking her for her lack of clothing. Saying that she is the one perpetuating the disgusting message in Thicke's song. When in reality, she should NEVER be judged by what is or isn't on her body, and the idea that she could be blamed for something that she didn't write or sing is preposterous, and outright sexist.
