Tiger troubles with player safety

He was the grub who ran with the story about our club almost driving a young player to suicide. I wish things on this guy that are so evil I will leave to the imagination. Never forget.

If we could get Mitchell Moses, Weedler, James Pooper and Paul Gallen stuffed into a shipping container and pushed off a barge somewhere in the deep Pacific... I could look the other way.

At Souths they peaked with a great roster and then burnt out badly (despite an all star line up, they only won 18 of their final 54 games under Madge). They hit a massive wall.

Wow! If that stat is correct, it is damning evidence of something having been majorly wrong. Any coach only winning one third of matches with that squad is almost unbelievable.

Doesn’t the NRL accredit Journalist who cover the game?...how on earth they accredit Weedler, Hooper and Buzz is beyond me...these guys write articles about the game and players that lacks fact....just sensationalist journalisim....

The unfortunate reality is that in the spectrum of League followers, some like to read validated and quality edited journalism, others like trash tabloid.

Same as some folks will read The Times and others TV Soap Magazine.

So Dunny Weedler, despite intense hate from everyone I know and correspond with, someone somewhere must read his stuff, otherwise SMH wouldn't publish him.

Weidler is widely despised by almost every player in the league. The only ones who might have a problem are matto and Lawrence.

But please, players can get injured at training, in matches, getting out of bed.

Next they'll get rid of all contact at training and in games and just play mixed oztag.

Other clubs train harder than us. No complaints there. Doesn't mean Madge can't learn but nothing wrong with playing and training hard.

Regulated reduction in training is coming, it is what happened in the NFL with strict no contact sessions included. It will happen in the NRl too!

Need to stop looking at what the NFL are doing, it is ruining the greatest game of all imo.

We already train at practically part time levels, if they want more training with fewer contact sessions then we should train full time, 7 hours a day and balance the contact sessions with tactics, gym, analysis etc

Generally where there's smoke theres fire...grubs mum told me weeks ago the players are filthty about training up till the GF...and Maguires hard nosed attitude....I was constantly hammered on here regarding ivan Cleary....didnt think he was much of a coach....thoughts about Maguire are pretty much the same, yes he won a comp at souths, but gilligan could have coached that team....I then saw him stuff that side

Our players are already a bunch of weak pussycats. They don't like training up to when their contracts expire, fine. Go become professional playstation gamers. You get paid big bucks and train a few hours a day. There's a mandated end of season rest period for all nrl players. There's no problem training right up to the GF, Canberra and the Roosters are, possibly other clubs too. You want an extended break, earn it. They haven't earned anything yet.

@MAGPIES1963 Not really a correction, just having some fun. But having had some personal dealings with the guy over the years I can tell you he absolutely loses the plot when his name is spelled incorrectly. Hopefully he doesn't lurk around the forum.

As punishment for not making the GF they should be made to train all year with no breaks, you want a break, earn it, win the comp and have a few months off.

Instead they are whinging they arent getting extra time off for their garbage performance???? They actually want more perks [extra time off] for inferior job performance. Loser club culture at its best.

I should tank at my job and see if my boss gives me an extra couple of months off just cause. Sounds reasonable :face_with_rolling_eyes:
