Unite. Commit. Achieve. Who?

I know this is probably trivial, but in days where "branding" and being "on message" seems important in the corporate world, who exactly is the current Tigers message of "Unite. Commit. Achieve" aimed at?

It would make perfect sense if it was the playing group; some call-to-arms for them to be better than the past. But, why would any organisation promote the fact that, in the past, we didn't unite and we didn't commit and we didn't achieve?

It can't be aimed at the supporter group because IF we "united" and we "committed", how would we (the supporters's group) achieve?

I just checked on the team announcement for Rd 3 and noticed it there on each player's profile.

Huh?

I don't get it.

To me it seems like a three-word slogan (and haven't we all had enough of them taking the place of leadership and policy?) that must have made some sense at the time.

But, that's amateur hour stuff.

Surely, there's a better vision for building membership numbers than some simplistic slogan that surely won't work because nobody knows who's supposed to be responding to it?

There is a significant perception in Tigers managment that the supporter base has been divided. Apparently the slogan was developed by employees and Mayer was quite proud of it when it was announced.

Im with you a bit on it. Success is the best way of ensuring the club is united.

I think the thread about the Wests fanatics comes into play…UNITE,it seems these few don't want to,I was a Balmain boy all my life but I don't take my Balmain jumper, flag, shirt or cap to a Wests Tigers game...ONE team WESTS TIGERS...they are all I'm interested in...

Be proud of the past, look to the future TOGETHER.....

I can't imagine a large amount of thought was put into it, they probably had a short meeting and went with whatever the best idea was.

I totally disagree. I would say this took a great amount of thought and debate. Any organisation that is serious about a set of values, makes it a part of their daily vocabulary. This is why we see it repeated everywhere. They want everybody to buy into it.

Who is it aimed at? Every stakeholder in the organisation. Players, coaches, business managers, office staff, members etc.

I personally believe that this a crucial step in forging this club into a legitimate force both on and off the field. :sign:

Who? You and me?

What the Wests Tigers are intending is that you are a part of the team and we all somehow play a role in the team, obviously you won't be out there on the field but the role you play paying your hard earnt money to be out there and support the boys.

Unite is to come together as a family, in this case the Wests Tigers family.
Commit is to dedicate yourself to this family.
Achieve, when we unite and commit we will achieve goals that may not have been able to attain when people don't show unity and form a bond.

Very well said Milky

The Tigers marketing team should go back to basics to get bums on seats, free grog at Campbelltown and free parking at Leichardt

Free parking at Leichhardt when their is very limited space available to park cars? Free grog will only result in bums falling off seats.

What do you mean made a point to who?
What he went to a fan in the crowd after the game and shook a bloke's hand who had a Balmain Jersey?
What is the big deal about it.
Look we are not going to stop those people from wearing there Balmain Jersey or Wests Magpies jersey, some will agree with people wearing there original colours and some won't.

Sirro is just being polite.
