Watson Heleta and Marion Seve

Of the two Heleta is better anyway.
He is a much more well rounded player.

I don't know what you base this on. Seve has always been the better of the two. Heleta will struggle to play firsts.

Disappointing if we have lost Seve. Given the people who are saying that we have, he looks as good as gone.

Seen plenty of both of them.
Heleta has more assets to his game than Seve does.

Interesting view. I have always seen Heleta as one dimensional. Runs a good hard line but has no versatility.

Seve is quicker, has better agility and has a better passing game.

Both aren't certain to have long term careers in firsts. Two years ago I would have said Seve was a certainty but injuries have hindered his progression. I was always hoping with a few injury seasons, Seve would reach his potential as Schoolboy of the Year.

You're definitely right that Heleta has the strength and Seve has the speed, but I think Heleta's speed is better than Seve's strength…if you get what I mean. As for passing games they are both pretty even.
I've seen Heleta beat defenders by fends and stepping, whereas with Seve I've only seen him step or run around defenders.

The thing Seve has in his favour with this comparison is that strength can be worked on and improved more-so than speed can.

I thought writing was on the wall when he only signed a 1 year extension. Given we have cash freed up, maybe this is a position we are going to strengthen through recruitment…

Moley is onto it…

BRONCOS EYE YOUNG TIGER

The Broncos are set to sign promising Tigers centre Marion Seve.

A 20-year-old speedster who has been a member of the Tigers’ NRL squad for the past 12 months, has secured a release to the Broncos.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Seve played two years in the Tigers’ NYC side before joining the full-time squad last season, but injuries held him back from playing in the top grade.

But Seve is big and strong and could be a bargain buy for the Broncos in 2016 and beyond.

Seve hails from Keebra Park on the Gold Coast – the school that produced Benji Marshall and a host of other stars.

I was reading that five minutes ago.

Cant keep them all etc….. - when the Broncos who have a wealth of young talent choose to poach one of our "promising" young guns - I think we have a right to be concerned. Hailed as our one to watch this year - just be watching him play for another club instead.

Don't blame the Broncos. There is a thread rating the WTs' recruitment but hard questions need to be asked about the Club' retention policies. We've lost both Martin an Seve from the Keebra side which won the competition and what outstanding younger players have been brought into t club do replace them? Please don't name Papenhuyzen as he has come via Balmain HM and SG Ball.

Oh well brilliant. Broncos can keep buying anyone they want and not worry about salary caps. Then in 10 years time they can play a 6 team comp with the Roosters Parra Manly and whoever else has deep enough pockets.
