@Boonboon2 said:Except if he has gone then we have released him. We wern't outbid we have let him go. Honestly he hasn't exactly been the superstar he was in schoolboys footy, injuries have played a part and so has homesickness from what I have heard.
I didn't see him playing FG this year and don't think he would have succeeded in Sydney
@krayola said:With TPAs, the salary cap is pointless. More than ever the big clubs are trading with one another or taking advantage of clubs with less money. You don't even need particularly strong or smart management as long as you have money - look at Parra. If you have smart management, it can make a difference - see Panthers and Raiders. Even then, those teams are disadvantaged financially.
What coups have the Knights, Titans, Tigers (last season's bottom 3 teams) made this off-season? Between the three of them, the only 'name' signing is Tim Grant. No surprise that these teams are weak financially and going through management overhauls.
More than anything, we should have secured some sort of swap for Seve, just as we should have for Martin at Penrith. Why develop these kids and then get nothing for them??
@supercoach said:If they are being overlooked because a player like Milone has the jump on them, than I would do a dummy spit to!!!
The hardest part in running a successful club is keeping all the fringe players happy and interested, some loose interest very quickly if they do not see a pathway to the NRL
@bp tiger said:my info is that seve and peni were told they would start the season in the ron massey cup and both spat the dummy. if u look at the players that will play nsw cup someone will have to miss out. my mate is friends with a staffer at the club. so it had nothing to do with been home sick or the broncos wanting him.
@supercoach said:Wasn't there a whisper we are marginally over the cap, of course if so maybe the two contracts will balance the books.
Anyway I am with king Siro you just can not release every player because they have a beef, under exceptional circumstances sure, but for most of the players who want out, give them a clear picture what they have to do to make the grade and a time frame
@Goose said:That means that have all of Milone, Addo Carr, Hunt, Heleta, Rankin (as a three quarter) and probably one other ahead of them.
