Poor taste headline by the OP
Was thinking a player took Lee or Pascoe when. I saw the headlineAnd the sensationalism of it all. If it bleeds. It leads. The people want blood. Thats where the money is.
Thats the thing. Headlines. Sensationalism. It sells. Was thinking a player took Lee or Pascoe when. I saw the headline
Because fewer people read it if the title says "Kid from Austral throws his life away".Why are Wests Tigers even mentioned in this?
I am starting to think that the Tigers have more fans then I think they do and get you so much click baitBecause fewer people read it if the title says "Kid from Austral throws his life away".
The media INTENTIONALLY goes after click bytes ONLY, so instead of just stating the facts e.g. a person (no NAMES, no GENDER, no AGE) ALLEGEDLY killed that guy, the MSM instead go for spicy click byte! Why are Wests Tigers even mentioned in this? He's never played for Wests Tigers. He's a Wests Magpies player, and not a highly rated one either. He'd probably have been uncontracted in a couple of weeks time anyways. If he was at Townsville Blackhawks would he have been labelled a Souths player in the media? Heck no...!
But it's defamation and Lee should be all over itBecause fewer people read it if the title says "Kid from Austral throws his life away".
Not defamation. To win a court case of defamation you need to prove that the thing said was untrue/unsubstantiated and impacts their reputation. But it's defamation and Lee should be all over it
It’s defamation to state a fact? But it's defamation and Lee should be all over it
