the advantages far outweigh the disadavantaged…the needs of the many can never be held above the needs of the few or the one.....spock out
@redemption said:What crap! How is the club even to know when and where this junior presentation is to take place???
I'm sure Hazem didn't just turn up without an invitation!! Why did the club choose to invite him rather than a former-alumni or a Wests Player is more the point???
It isn't up to Wests Tigers to send reps to every junior league function in their regions unless they are invited to do so by the club - and if invited I am 100% sure someone would have attended on behalf of the club (despite it being during the players annual 4 week break)!
@alien said:wests have more juniors and are actually funding their own side so it would be better for the joint venture if western suburbs was the wt feeder team. you know it's true.
@barrytiger said:the canberra magpies sounds good could catch on lol
@redemption said:Not a good look for the oh-so parochial Magpies - to have their stocks boosted by Canberra rejects!!!
They regularly talk up their talent base and want independence but are now entertaining getting into bed with a top grade rival! How soon would it be before they become a genuine-feeder team to the Raiders???
The fact the Magpies bosses are even possibly resorting to this is embarassing to say the least!!
@redemption said:What about the regular Magpies players who all of a sudden are out of their spots because a Canberra first-grader has been dropped or an injured Raider is making his way back??? That will create a really sound playing environment indeed!
And that is what would have to be enshrined within any such agreement with the Raiders - that their players got precedent over locals when demoted etc!!! As such - the first thing that goes out the window in that compromise is Wests being able to be truly competitive!!!!
