Wests Tigers Side

I would be very suprised if the team actually takes the field as listed. Expect changes, give the Sharks as little info as possible at this stage…

Hilarious…...peanuts have been jumping up and down for 6 months to give Lui a start,he gets one and the hysteria continues.

Upercut time.

I love these posts, where therrs no quotes.

Coz its always the same people saying one thing at one time and something different later, isnt it? :unamused:

Still, if it boosts your self esteem….

ohhh this is a risk bringing in a rookie halfback with 4 weeks left to make the 8 not sure if I like this one if the season was over sure go for it

Ahhhhhhh,my stalker.

Great to see the consistency,I have felt sooooo alone.

And dont worry about my self esteem,I get it from the constant adulation from the ladies, not from posting on here.

WOW!
Was not expecting that at all. Really really excited that one of the most exciting young talents running around is getting his shot. Really really worried that it is happening now. He should have been picked for a couple of games far earlier in the season just in case.
I reckon he'll play ~60 minutes with morris taking the rest. I think (hope) he's up to it. Good tackler, good short kicking, passing & running game & seems to make a lot of offloads. Sometimes misreads where he needs to be in defence
C'mon Lui, tear the sharks apart!

Galea should not be on the bench, Heigho should.
If Payten plays the way he has the last few weeks then he might be OK in 2nd row (still not preferred though). Good to see big Kieth ready to start the game.

Again - wow!

Ill lay money that Morris starts ahead of Lui.. He'll come on after 15-20 mins imo…

Not that i want that to happen but thats what i think Sheens will do....

I'm shocked. Didn't expect that one, but I guess this is a good game to test him.

My worry is that at some stage in the game we will see Morris in the halves. If this is the case then Sheens still hasn't learn his lesson.

Personally I would have had Hanbury or Lawrence at fullback and kept Moltzen in the #7.

The beauty of it is…......if Lui doesnt fire we have some options.

I worry that his defense isnt up to scratch, but we will see.

I just hope those options aren't Morris in the halves.

My gut feeling is that Morris will start in the halves and Lui will come off the bench. I hope I am wrong.

If Morris is at any stage of the game in the halves, it is pathetic.

You obviously didnt see the Morris run around and kick that led to the Ryan try last week????

WOAH! One try assist in a year, I really hope Sharks don't want him anymore so we can sign him for life :unamused:

simon, that was his third try assist all season.

Sheens is kidding if he moves Morris back into the halves. At no stage EVER should he be moved back there, I don't care who is injured.

With Sheens' comment after the last game that he thought Moltzen could be a great 7 but an even better 1…

I was expecting something like this, Lui is also in the top 25 for next year so is a chance at playing in the halves next year so why not give him a go.

Seems like he just has to tighten up his defence & he'll be right... Lui brings that extra bit of creativity.

I think its a good move actually and shows heaps of courage from sheens to do it at this time of year despite it been forced by a injury.

Some guys say try lawrence at fullback which is also untried so i see that as more of a risk then putting moltzen back at fullback which he has played.

Anyway im sure moltzen will play at halfback at some stage when we have the ball.

Great selection and one that had to be done. This kid (Lui) is a class attacking player and we need an x-factor if we are to be a threat in this `2010 competition.
NBo gurantees this will work, but boring old safe options weren`t going to get us anywhere, this atleast gives us a glimmer of hope !

Has anybody here actually seen lui play halfback? Is he any good there. He is usually five-eighth in nyc isnt he?

id much rather lui start, hopefully we can get some points in his game.

then at 60-65 replace with morris to tighten up in defense so we dont let in soft tries as our guys tire.

I suspected this would be the game where Lui gets his chance.

He's no midget. Tips the scales at 92kg, has good strength, a good fend, good sidestep, good pace, good kicking game and excellent ball skills and passing game. His main issue is defence, he gets caught out reading the opposition attack. The Sharks aren't a threatening side in attack so this is as good a game as any to make his debut IMO.

Morris offers far more in defence, but the Tigers attack will suffer the consequences, whereas with Lui, if he takes the same confidence in as he does in the Toyota Cup, he could open up holes in the Sharks defence all arvo IMO.

Moltzen will definitely play up in the line in attack anyway.

Well you pumped for it….. you got it....Sheens wonders will never cease.....I just hope he defends the try line next to Galea......

Probably the best game to do it.....

well! that's certainly interesting…. not too sure it's such a hot idea to blood a player in such an important game, especially in the halves, would have probably preferred hanbury at fullback and moltzen back at halfback, but..... this is still a lot better than throwing morris back in the halfback spot.
