Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah dropped from NRL to reserve grade

I think it a ridiculous decision but a simple one, Farah goes and kills it in lower grades, Taylor should say it my decision and if we don't make the 8 this year that he'll man up up and quit. I remember him faking injury at the end of his Wests days because he was going to Norths. He has never had any credibility as a player or a coach. At least he hasn't got drunk and hit Farah.

Maybe WT have decided we are no chance of making the finals and want to force Robbie Farah out to save 1 mill in the salary cap. After years of hearing players state it's a business, I'm all for forcing him out.

This may very well be close to the truth.

the dumb and dumber winner for 2016.
No offence guys - it's not about you
But could you imagine the rest of the season if you believed the season is over.
If we were Newcastle I could understand.

This is how I see it, I hope I'm wrong. Going off what TT said tonight maybe the club had a sit down meeting with Robbie advising him of the ET situation and asked him to move on but will still keep his position.
After Farah put his feelers out, nothing has really taken his fancy $$ wise so Farah has said "No, I'm not going anywhere" thus putting the ET situation in strife and angering WT management.
WT have then blown up and dropped him hoping that may do something??

Now if any of this is true, and it's probably not, I think the WT may have made things worse..

someone needs to be sacked and it is not Robbie. He is good enough for NSW but not for the Tigers decision makers. Elijah Taylor is great at lock, not good enough at hooker, Dean Halatau is a great allrouder who fills in superbly.he is leaving at the end of the year, they want to get rid of Robbie, look out Chris Lawrence it seams premiership winners are not wanted - you will be next. Disgraceful. My father was a leichhardt wanderer, and I have been a supporter all my life - never have I been so disappointed (well not since they got rid of Benji). Loyalty is DEAD

When did Chris Lawrence win a premiership?

And the old ''good enough for NSW'' argument, please. Dylan Walker was good enough for NSW for God's sake.

Ridiculous if true. He should be pkay 80 minutes in the top grade.

Of course he should be playing 80 minutes with us carrying another backrower on the bench, just when I started to believe we could make the 8, JT tries to destabilise the club. :bash

So you don't think any higher ups like O'Neill deserve to be questioned as well?

If Buckets gave the Ok he can go to, bloody hell Farah is 3 games shy of 250 for the club, this is an ego move, not a smart one with where we are sitting on the ladder, and taking our woeful defence into calculations.

Anyone else see the irony in "3 games shy of 250 for the club, this is an ego move…"

When did it become a right to reach a certain number of games?

I can cop this on 2 conditions

1\. The playing group doesn't get lost over this and they throw in the towel. It would be criminal, and if they do, heads need to roll at the end of the yr, that's non negotiable.

2\. ET doesn't dragged back into the hooking rotation. Halatau and either Cherrington/Liddle.

I think you will find that the hooker rotation will be Halatau/Edwards.

Edwards has been playing 40 minutes at hooker in NSW Cup and having watched him closely against the Dogs last game he was really good at dummy half. He then also provides you with a rotation option for the props or back rowers as well giving us great utility value but he was very impressive at dummy half with quick smooth passing and great defence was one of our best on ground

Tigertorch claimed a few days ago that JT picks the team and Mark ONeill retains the right to veto team selections. If that is true, then dont all bleat at the coach. Others obviously have the same thoughts.

Having said that, in this and every team, NO ONE has the right to expect guaranteed selection every week. This includes Robbie Farah. The coaches job is on the line and he is employed to and has every right to select the team he wants.

Only time will tell if it is a good move. The coach will live and die by the sword. Every coach lives this way each and every week.

Robbie's form of late has been very good! No justification for the scarecrow. Again love child, rankin, Aloiai are still in the team which have been extremely poor of late…

Thats not supporting the club.

JT has shown what a moron he is, just when i thought the club was back on track and looking like we could make the 8, the moron does this, grow some balls pascoe and sack this pretender of a coach.

This is Personal and it's a tactic of forcing Farah out make no mistake not just JT alone…..Pascoe and Co. aswell.

I could handle if a Statement came out something along these lines....." as per last year informing Farah and his Manager that the Club was looking to go in a different direction and Farah wasn't part of the plans , we feel that moving forward that the Club simply hasn't got a 1st Grade Position for Farah moving forward " .

But for JT to come out and say that his picked the best 17 he believes gives him the best chance to beat the Dragons and that Farah doesn't make the cut ? his kidding himself....yeah Halatau and Lovett are better options or maybe the 18th Man Joel Edwards who hasn't even played 1st Grade this year ( 20-30 minutes tops ) .

Just come out and say we need to follow through with our Original threat....people can see through the BS

Regardless of what people may or may not think of Robbie this is nothing more than an atrocious decision by an inept coach who lacks basic people management skills. A decision like this would never be made by a strong club. I'd imagine the playing group would be affected by this.

Wests tigers will never attract quality players when they treat a club legend so poorly.

Cant wait to see the back of the scarecrow

Actually a decision like this would only be made by a strong club a weak club would never demote a star.

I am very impressed with JT for having the balls to do it shows he is a real FG coach. Look at the people who supported his call on this last year - Wayne Bennett, Warren Ryan, etc

Bryce Gibbs had the chance to be a very rare ''10 year at one club player''….no one said boo when he along with many others were pushed out

Im with GNR4LIFE in that i can just about cop for this if Cherrington or Liddle are used in conjunction with Halatau. If not this is the most ridiculous decision.ET has been excellent since he has been here but has had one average game when asked to play at hooker. If Taylor goes with this again any chance of the top 8 has gone.
