Wests Tigers target Johnson - Widdop..

Warriors having a big pack is a Myth..their back row are all workers..Props are OK but outside Vete wouldn't say they are big or aggressive…

There outside backs except when Aysh is there with Kata, Manu, Fizzy, the mini beast and Sheck run bloody hard...Johnson plays a lot on the back of their work..

Johnson for me..

Exactly , I reckon our pack weight would be as big if not bigger than the Warriors

If the Warriors lose Johnson it would be a bigger loss than Stacey Jones was

Actually I wouldn't mind grabbing Jones as a halves coach actually , he has a lot of qualities that I like

Widdop plays with heart. That try he scored on full time exemplified that. The game was won , he could have given up on the play, but he didn't.

7 news reported that the Broncos are interested in Jack Bird.

He wants to play fullback or 5/8
Won't be doing either at the broncos.

Knights is his destination.

Why on earth would a new player join the knights. Nathan Brown must be really making an impact on their recruiting.

Meanwhile, why is Mitchell Moses still kicking for us?

Great win for us tonight, but it looks like Moses got 2/5… Okay he may not be the best kicker and just doing what is chucked at him.

But he is out the door and not that good at kicking. Time for someone else to stand up to the task.

Widdop is playing well because he wants a new contract, he is doing a Michael Vella

Johnson is another Benji, no structure what so ever and while I like the razzle dazzle I'd like us to play some structured footy.

He would make a great full back. Fast elusive and can join in when it suits. He doesnt have to organise the attack which would help him.m

He'll be playing 5/8 at the Knights, Kalyn Ponga is on big money and won't be sitting on the wing.

"The Wests Tigers have targeted out of contract Dragons playmaker Gareth Widdop to Replace Mitchell Moses for 2018

It is reported that the Wests Tigers have tabled a 3-year $2.6 million dollar contract offer to Widdop’s management and he is seriously considering his options.

Widdop signed a 4-year deal with the Dragons at the end of the 2013 season making the switch from the Melbourne Storm. That deal believed to be worth around $650,000 per season.

Widdop who is arguably the best player currently in 2017 has guided his Dragons to the top of the table and has been in sensational form, which has pushed his asking price up over $800,000 per season.

The Dragons want to retain Widdop, but their hands are tied after signing Ben Hunt on a Mulit-million dollar contract, which leaves little wiggle room in the salary cap.

Ivan Cleary has labelled Widdop the best Five-eighth in today’s game and wants him to become a Tiger in 2018.

With Mitchell Moses singing with the Parramatta Eels and expected to be granted a early released after the Easter Break, the Tigers will be hoping they can secure their man for the 2018 season and beyond."

Apparently Johnson has been in talks with a sydney club .. According to fox sports he would like to keep playing with foran. Would thry be referring to the dogs since foran is most likely to go there??

"On Johnson, Foran’s influence on his Kiwi halves partner grows by the day, providing the steady hand these past two weeks he has craved for so much of his career.

It’s understood Johnson is for the first time genuinely considering life beyond the Warriors, progressing further in talks with one Sydney-based outfit than he ever has in previous negotiations."

Widdop is a worry if we don't strengthen that forward pack. If we do that, he would be perfect for Brooks. Probably not as perfect as Cronk, pretty still pretty bloody good nonetheless.

I agree, but we're a good chance of securing a prop or two I think. Positive signs for Matulino at current and if Woods departs I dare say Cleary will look to find a more than suitable replacement.
