What about our Left side players?
Is that where he took the scoot and continued to run left then stood at the back of the ruck of the play the ball after his run whilst the ball went to Lawrence who had no winger outside him?
Or was it the similar play where Mbye had the play on the right and once again had no winger outside him?

I am talking about the 2nd half 56:50. He ran straight and hard. If you are talking about another time please be more specific.

This was when Mbye was in space on the 4th tackle and looked for a winger that was not there.

I’ll have to go back and look.
We did have players all over the place that game. Few have mentioned that Walters played in the forwards for half a game and Lucy was channeling his brother.
However it wouldn’t be the first time that Nofo leaves his wing when we need him there.

I am guessing the reason he is in the team this week is it is a good opportunity to get him to 249 games

You really think that would be a consideration for Madge?

I think it is important for all of the players and stranding a player on 248 games would not improve the loyalty and drive of the team. Playing him for the last 20 min at lock against Warriors and Bulldogs is a good compromise.

Being a coach is about creating a roster and educating players, but a huge part is motivating the team.

Nah sorry wouldn’t even come into it. It’s about winning and they only way to do that is to put the best team available on the field, nothing else matters. That’s the way you build a winning culture.

Our club definitely takes that stuff into consideration. Madge named Farah in the team final round last year when he had a broken leg. They’ll make sure Lawrence gets his 250th game even if everyone’s fit.

You mean like JT did to Farah, and how did that work out, Madge is nowhere near as stupid as JT so it shouldn't be an issue

Forgetting about game numbers or standing, unless something changes this weekend, Lawrence keeps his spot in the seventeen based on performance alone and experience a bonus.

Lawrence will definitely be out of the 17 next week. But there'll probably be injuries again at some point that will get him the 250. If there isn't then tough. He's already played more games for us than he should have.

With Farah having a broken leg we played Cronulla in the last round and lost this match which resulted in the club missing the semi finals.

Who misses out. If Blore does well again he should keep his spot. Would have to be brooks missing out really and even then you’d prefer to carry 3 props.

While Lawrence does a solid job it’s pretty clear that once BJ is back he will be taking that spot back. Big questions marks will be the bench selections for next week

When at full strength Rowdy isn't in the 17

I think so too. With packer and Blore showing they’re up to the task rowdy might get forced out. It sucks, I love the bloke and I hope he racks up 250 games for us but next week he could be out of the team.

Pretty sure next week will be 250 tigers game for Rowdy and Benji, knowing our club they’ll pick Lawrence purely for that.

With Packer and BJ back next week I can't see where he'd fit in

I prefer him on the bench over Clark or brooks

I'd have Brooks in the 7. Not sure the make up on the bench but Mikaele, Blore, Eisenhuth, McIntyre should be picked ahead of Rowdy imo.

Personally, there should always be a player that covers second row and centre on the bench, which Lawrence has shown competitiveness there over the past few weeks. Blore rightly kept his spot this week, though experience in a squad should not be underestimated either.

If Blore plays like he did last week, I'll happily have him start and have Garner on the bench covering those positions.

For example: A player that saves 2 tries (8 points) but bombs 3 tries (12 points) does more harm than good.

Watch Lawrence in the last game he bombed a certain try by not passing to Nofo, and there were several other occasions when he bombed attacking runs. By not passing, by not seeing his unmarked team mates and by not getting rid of the ball when catching a kick or going himself when there were better options.
Lawrence was done 2 years ago, I am not a fan of Jennings but at this point he is a better option, so is the new kid that has had no training with the team.

started to understand some of what you said and then you spoilt it all.

You mentioned Jennings in a positive light when there is only darkness.

Post dismissed.

No. Nof was most definitely out of position. And it cost us dearly. It wasn’t play 2, it was towards the end of the set. He should be on his wing. That’s his primary job.

2nd Half 16m 50s. Nofo made a good run in the middle on the 3rd tackle when there were no forwards around, they were gassed and still walking back. I would say that was a huge effort for Nofo seeing there was a problem and taking an extra run and getting a quick play the ball that allowed the attacking move on the right.

Spot on mate, Nofo had just done the dirty hit up, how can he be on the wing next play, just an excuse to bash Nofo.

Actually Nofo not being there, seems to be an excuse to bash Rowdy.
