If the rumors are true about Lewis Brown, then after tonight i'm one happy camper. Played the house down in a losing side. I could be wrong, but i got a feeling we may announce 2 or 3 signings in the next couple of weeks.

Jeremy Smith is set to finish his career at the Newcastle Knights after signing a one-year contract extension with the club.

The veteran lock joined has played 47 games for the Knights since joining the club in 2013.

"The club is everything to me, it is a family club and I have really enjoyed my time here," Smith said.

"I am relieved that this is all done and dusted because I can get on with the rest of this season knowing I have next year here and I am really looking forward to it."
