On that performance, I am concerned for the NRL future of Chris Lawrence. IMO, he is in a race with ET for a bench spot, at best, and ET was better. I truly hope he has not played one season too many, as he deserves to be acknowledged as a true legend of this club. Others' thoughts?

Great bloke, great clubman....but absolutely no spot for him in our top 17 unless there are injuries.

ET miles ahead at the moment.

Only spot I can see for Lawry is Chee Kam's bench spot. MCK very ordinary. Maybe Lawry takes that spot.

It has been a long while since we had depth and it is terrific to have it now. However 3-4 key injuries will still cause us huge problems

Thought That Lawrence was solid. Think Taylor in more competition with Aloiai for the 13 which on that game Taylor did the better job.

Noffa was also denied a 100m try when he fielded a kick just inside the in goal. He was away and wasn’t gonna be caught.

Yes he was moving around 36.7 km/h .......don't think anyone would have run him down

Looks like hes gained a yard i would have said 36.9 km/h

I stick to my original estimate ..running into the wind and it looked like a slow track ..definitely not a Fast 5

I’m actually fine with Walters and Reynolds sharing the role if Josh plays like that more often. He does better against tired opposition coming off the bench.

We'd need a mad bench if were carrying Grub which I think we will cos it worked well.

14 Reynolds
15 Mikaele
16 Aloiai
17 MCK

18 Clarke

I’m happy with that. Start ET at lock and Musgrove at prop.

You can argue Noffa made a bad read, but he made up for that with two tries, some strong runs and some good offloads. Plus him and BJ playing together is mouth watering. Got a good taste of it today.

Noffa you know what we will get 1 bad read a game mixed with hard runs, offloads and he can finish.

Issue is his bad reads are all the same panic runs where he misses everything and is almost center a try, where if he held back and gave his defensive line time to slide we stand a better chance

That would be the last position assuming we think Walters gets the 80

But I would be leaning towards Rowdy over MCK ....he looks like he has trimmed down and seemed more agile today .....tough call though

MCK literally won 2 games for us last season with his footwork and turn of speed

Not saying he's hopeless he's solid but stock standard as they come

He’s looked pretty good to me...

Yeah, but you're not much of a judge

Well I am and he does look good. Safe under the high ball, good defence and doesn’t seem to make mistakes.

Can kick goals and is a very good 5/8. What is it about him that you don’t like?

Firstly, you claim to have some credentials to back your judgement...what are they?

Secondly, if you really want to know...he's slow. Made some stuttering, I don't know what to do now, run and is not a playmakers butt hole...If we really think him playing out the back is going to "ignite" our backline, then you need to watch closer. Further, we had so many offloads in the second half and I didn't see him backing up to hit a hole...Thompson does this well and as a result makes a lot of line breaks despite his size.

This is hardly surprising when you look at his NRL stats...30 games | 1 try | 2 try assists. Can't see those numbers increasing much this year.

Just because he didn't make any errors doesn't mean he is the answer to our problems...case in point, Joey Leilua...bit of a mixed bag, but the cost/benefit was in his favour today by miles. Doueihi didn't do anything wrong, but he was just making up numbers...

You call me a bad judge and then come up with that nonsense! ?

Look...I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you....

Geez...you're the reason we have warning labels on everything

You’re full of beans today, as usual, magic to listen to but a whole lot of dreaming.

Corey tries his heart out and is I believe 29?
Doueihi needs the time now and over the long term looks BY far the better option - whenever he’s ready can step into B.M’s #6 posi...

Doueihi needs to be our fullback so he can take over from Marshall at 5/8...great logic there. One of us is dreaming...not sure that it's me though :joy:

Hopefully we don't have to wait another 30 games to see a try from AD :joy:

Watching today's trial I noticed WT'S new tactic of when they put a bomb up their aim was for it to land somewhere inside the 20 not challenge then tackle the player catching it pretty much straight away seemed to work pretty well

In the forwards, Luciano and Musgrove really made a difference today. Billy Walters looks really good and I hope to see him with the 9 on his back.

In the backs, Corey Thompson stood up again and Joey Leilua was a standout.

Jennings was impressive given what we've seen from him in the past - looked strong and fast.

Benji and Brooks went ok, but didn't try to overplay their hand when we were in the grind - I don't mind that. Your 6 and 7 don't need a man of the match award every game.

Nofo did well after racing in a bit quick for the Warriors try...he could have held his ground and had a chance to kill the play, but there was an overlap anyway, so may not have made a difference. Showed good speed from 40m out to score his 1st try.

Add Stefano to our pack and 1 or 2 quality backs and we are up there with the top 3-6 teams.

Elijah Taylor was pretty good today. Maybe he grabs a bench spot for round 1. Lock is the position he’s best at and that’s where we lack the most

Reckon that he wrestled control back to our forwards and literally at that. His energy was enormous out there this afternoon and right up until his last involvement.

Arguabley turned the game with the one on one steal. Has to be in front of Lawrence and McQueen in the pecking order now.

Has to be in front of Aloiai and Eisenhuth for the lock spot I'd say - then again I always thought that.

FR for Josh and Huth, well......
