I'm not going to knock a side that had 4 of their starting back 5 out. we didn't have the class out wide to ice our opportunities. if we have Star and AJ in the centres, Kenny on the end of those kicks and Daine sweeping around the back we would've been out of sight by halftime.
forwards have been immense these past few weeks and deserved the two points, they bashed the Dragons pack. our defence for the most part was very solid apart from the two lapses out on the left from you know who. providing they can continue to get up for games we'll win more than we lose. was at the game yesterday, was actually quite proud going home.

Nobody was out-coached yesterday. Dragons only won through 2 individual performances from zippy little players when we were tired. Their overall game was bog.

Tough one to lose, but we were competitive and if we stay competitive in every match, we will win about half of them.
That's where we are as a club - we need to play well (by our standards) to win about half our games. We don't have much x-factor or game-changer in the roster, so every match needs to be big effort and application - getting to our kicks, holding the football, sticking in tackles.
Some fans will say "oh we should have won X, Y, Z games", but they ignore that we did win some tight ones already - for every Eels result there is unfortunately a Titans result. It's only the good teams that ice 60%+ of their close matches and then compete in the finals.
Dragons yesterday were very ordinary, and the saving grace is in a season-long comp, Tigers are no worse than any of about 10 sides - Dragons, Titans, Warriors, Knights, Rabbits, Turbo-less Manly, Broncos, Dogs, Raiders. On any given day any of these teams can beat each other, so like I said earlier in the year, if we can win about least half our close ones we can definitely avoid the spoon.
Case in point - although we are only 2 wins, we have only really had 2 defensive blow-outs, which puts us at 13th despite those bad run of results.
Specific to yesterday, Dragons got up only because of some individual 5-second effort from 2 zippy players. Storm did the same thing Rd 1. Both teams yesterday failed to otherwise develop much from their attacking possession. Tigers do not unfortunately really possess that zippy little player for late-game fatigue, and the closest guys we have are injured.
We failed to continue the momentum and structures, successful in making yardage in open-field, at the try line. If players are regularly poking through the defensive line in mid-field, there's no reason why you cannot achieve this at the try line, except they struggled to focus their attack when the opposition does not have to retreat 10m - too sideways, too many pedestrian set-up plays, not enough energy/force in executing a set play. Finally got it right when Brooks scored, but there should have been a dozen of those types of opportunity with the possession we had.

They only scored 2, I don't see your point. You aren't out-coached every time you lose, sometimes the opposition just executes a few small things right that you do not.
Yesterday was not coaching, it was execution. Tigers had enough ball and made enough line breaks to score several tries, but we were lacking in execution at the line and Dragons defence was dogged.

Yeah they develop their players.
Funny how we don't have one state of origin calibre player though.
Honestly how can we compete in the short term.

When we do manage to win games it’s all arse 😂
When you lose a game 12-6 and the other team had less ball .We won penalty count for once and perhaps ref a bit kind to saints as they were laying all over us. But the score says our defence ok!! However our attack bad ,kick chase, no breaks created out wide .Did,not see Nofo get one pass that gave him a chance.Tamou makes breaks and no support runner .

Twal looked like he was about to pass/offload several times, but didn't go through with it. It's like he has no muscle memory and has no idea how to pass.
He keeps burning 4th or 5th tackle like he's after run meters not try assists

Surely that's on the halves or hooker? Reminds me of Aiden Tolman at the Dogs, would always take a hit up on the 5th tackle even when in opposition 20m.
I really like Twal, he is a rock in defense and doesnt hang back in hit ups.
But now I am expecting a little.more in attack.
I think the opposition dont fear him the way they should.
Need the next level now.

Tamou had liddle in support but Tamou is blind and deaf
