Saw this on the Canberra Raiders forum and thought that it would interesting to get your opinions.

Here is a list of all players that are off contract at the end of this season.

A similar thread was started a while ago, and personally the club just needs to hold its nerve and wait.

No one on that list is a priority signing so I suggest we wait and see what other players from rival clubs could fit into our squad before rushing in and spending coin.

If any of these players want to sign for unders, well maybe lock them in?

Apologies, I not had seen the other thread.

And I also agree, there are about two players off contract that should be re-signed at the moment (Simona and Naiqama).

He is a great bloke tbh, he has come back in great form firing for NSW Cup, what is he going to be asking for? 200k for a guy who can cover every position from 1-7 and 9 is great, he will reach new heights, he didn't give up for a reason. Give him a one year extension and see how he goes.

Try 100k for 1 year at best , if not thank you and good luck . Remember his been on a good income for the last 3 years for little return . He has played maybe 10 games out of a possible 54 games from our last 2 and half years.

So we''re giving contracts to players for being great blokes now? Praising the fact we didn't sign Scott and wanting to re-sign Moltzen. You're not making much sense today Milkster.

So I wanted to get some clarity around who is on nd who is off and what positions we needed to cover so I put together an off contract team

The 2 I am not sure about are Tim Simona and Tim Moltzen

Simona I think we should keep but I would consider moving to the wing and then perhaps letting Kevvie go and go out for another centre.

Moltzen - If he is willing to play for a lower amount then he offers great versatility being able to play anywhere in the backline

Jack Buchanan - assuming he isn't on too much money re-sign him.
Michael Bullock- assuming he isn't on too much money re-sign him.

Kyle Lovett - I think he deserves a contract upgrade.
Joel Luani - assuming he isn't on too much money re-sign him.

Penani Manumalealii - I don't know this guy.
Te Maire Martin - This is a tough one. I think you have to re-sign him because he may be an absolute gun.
Nathan Milone - I don't know this guy.
Tim Moltzen - tough call but we don't really need him other than as a utility. He might be a quality player but I'm not sure if its worth the effort.
Kevin Naiqama - re-sign.
Pat Richards - I'd let him go unless we don't have a good option on the wing. I'd prefer some speed out wide.
Kurtis Rowe - assuming he isn't on too much money re-sign him.
Brenden Santi - assuming he isn't on too much money re-sign him.
Ava Seumanufagai - definite first grade keeper. Hopefully we get a decent deal.
Tim Simona - priority no 1\. He is a quality player and they should sign him up now.

Ava and SImona are the 2 definites. I think we should really try and keep Martin. I think Moses will be a really good player but its not worth the risk of both him and Brooks kicking on. This way we have 3 young options that all could be guns. Its still not clear if any of them will be quality first graders.

Well mayer did say there should be some re-signing news before next weekend's game. I would say simona and a couple of juniors.
