Farah

Farah? Yeah, I can't see a bloke that never coached before making a difference.
Ciraldo only now 36yrs old and wouldn't have a third of Robbie's experience in the game. He was given an assistant role at Riff and made caretaker coach in 2018 when Griffin was punted and only a few yrs later considered head coach material.
It's about motivating and unlocking talent and belief in the younger playing group as much as it is teaching the technical aspects of the game. Robbie was always a hard trainer and willing to do whatever it took to win. Not many have a stronger passion for the Tigers than he does.
Ciraldo was asst coach of Penriths u20s for a year and then head coach for the next 2 years. They were minor premiers twice and won a comp. THEN he got the first grade asst job.
He has way more experience and success than Farah as a coach.
I guess the point I was getting at is I personally feel Robbie is made for coaching and although may not have the runs on the board coaching wise he is far superior to Ciraldo with on field experience. Knowing what it takes to succeed at an elite level for an entire career having played in and won a GF, Test series and Origin series.
Having a great playing career means little to being a coach. Pearce, Lamb, Potter abd Taylor all had great careers.
Gotta start somewhere though, Ricky Stuart definitely bucks that trend. To a degree Craig Fitzgibbon, Trent Barrett and Brad Fittler have too and that's just a few great players who've gone on with it as coaches.
Fair to say you have an argument for everything so I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this.
Can't say I really have an opinion either way, but to be fair; Fitzgibbon has not yet been an NRL Head Coach, Trent Barrett has had 1 winning season since 2017 and Fittler took the Chooks from the penthouse to the outhouse in one season.
Being a head coach in the NRL is a tough gig.
For sure it's one of the toughest gigs going. I was more referencing coaches who've made the transition from great player. Trent Barrett had success involved with Riff, Fittler has tasted it at Origin level and Fitzy been there abouts amongst Origin and Roosters teams for a while.
No one is suggesting Farah be made the head coach. Just openly discussing his value to the team and the experience and passion he could bring having played at an elite level for majority of his career. I feel he could offer more to the team than just running messages and drinks on the field.
Let's find out in lower grades then. We're trying to help Madge, not giving him a bloke that's never coached anything.
