Who's our Captain for 2018 ?

Who is going to captain the club in 2018? Leading the Sharks by 8 points with less than 10 minutes to go we needed an on field leader to galvanise the team , put away the off loads and complete our sets. Play field position and concentrate on defending the last 10 minutes
A coach can send out messages and the players should know what to do but a good leader on the field is the one who steers the team in the right direction.
At this stage i am not seeing an obvious choice either amongst the new signings or those currently there.

It was Eisenhuth who was doing all the talking and calling the players together after the Sharks scored the second last try.

My thoughts are with ET. But its hard to know what these people are like from the outside.

Given those coming, Chris McQueen?

Wests Tigers over the past couple of years have literally been a team without a captain. The club needs a captain who will rev the team up, inspire them and awaken them from the slumber. When Raudonikis left Wests to join Newtown he was the player that inspired the team to a grand final in 1981\. In 2018 I see Josh Reynolds as filling that role with Wests Tigers. So my nomination for club captain is obviously Josh Reynolds.

I also nominate Reynolds ,time for a captain with a never say die attitude.. I would say ET will be Clearys choice which is ok as well.

I wouldn't mind Eisenhuth as captain but we want an 80-minute captain.

If not Eisenhuth, Reynolds would be fantastic.

I think Reynolds will be a masterstroke from Cleary. Reynolds is probably thinking that he was going to play for dogs whole career so making him captain might make him feel that he really loves our club and it may rub out some of his poorer games.
Also having an enthusiastic outsider as captain shows team no more jobs for the boys.

Hit the nail on the head there, like Civoniceva at Penrith all those years ago. Before Cleary's time, but that kind of signing.

Did someone mention Curtis Rona coming? Now that's one I'd support as a signing (maybe not a winger as captain, only Chris Anderson or old mate Luke Covell could barely pull that one off)

Taylor is a leader, Lawrence should be let go at seasons end hopefully we sign another backrower like big Nelson from the Storm

Lawrence is past his use by date has poor hamstrings, concussion issues and not very effective on the field so not captain material. If he is still here next year should be in reggies

I doubt Reynolds will be the captain next year. It'd be too much pressure for a high profile recruit to come in and be captain as well. However I imagine he'll be captain in 2019
