Worst Player To Play NRL

Just some casual off season banter. Now the player may not necessarily be the worst, as they have to atleast have some form of talent to be playing first grade, but who is the most average player you have seen play NRL for the Wests Tigers in their 13 year history?

Lolesi wasn't a bad player, he was just bought to play a role he should never have had to play. Towards the end of the 06 season when he got moved into the centres where he belonged, he played well. Lolesi at lock was one of the most idiotic decisions Sheens made during his tenure.

Without a doubt the most average player to hang around for such a long time has got to be no other than a Mr D. Fitzhenry.

Many players have been pretty average for us. Too many to list but i reckon the most average player to have milked out a career here has got to be Fitzy, he just offered nothing.

Agree there Watto. I reckon he was close to one of our best in the 2005 finals series.

I reckon Trent Runciman and Ahmad Bajouri would round out the boxed trifecta with Nick Graham.

John Wilson was a better player then Fitzy. Fitzy made his entire career out of having friends in high places

Fitzy was a pretty clever footballer…
Hardly a superstar, But a handy Utility.
I don't think he deserved a spot in the 2005 team over Matt Rieck or Johnny Wilson,
Would they have served us better at the time... History will never know.
Fitz got the job done!!
He was kept far too long, And should never have came back...
But hard to begrudge him for what he gave us, He did his best!!

Worst (behaved) player John Hopoate. Worst coaching staff award would have to go to Terry Lamb and his offsider Langmack. Took a while for West Tigers reputation to recover from this lot.
