WT have an identity crisis...

Have a look at the Liverpool thread. The cubs fans can't decide between Campbo, Liverpool,Parramatta, Homebush or Moore Park as our home ground or a combination of a few of them. But there's no identity problem?
I think its obvious there is one.

I know what our identity is and I'm bit over people telling me otherwise. Fittler and Johns have an agenda and we should not be giving them any platform to air their crap.

Can anyone argue that what Johns' said is incorrect? No need to circle the wagons, we need to learn from post mistakes. And no one mention Tedesco was the priority because Papenhuyzen was only 70kgs! That infuriates me.

Who could have known Paps was gonna put on 10 kg and score an 85mt winning try against us? ?
WT have given so many players the motivation to do a job on us.

careful what we wish for the nrl would love a team in Perth long term im sure.
Western Tigers anyone ?
Thankfully wests ashfield buying out balmains debt we owe no money to the nrl unlike st george and a few other clubs

Nine talking up nine experts opinions with no quotes from our club. What a crap piece of journalism. Even worse, it’s opinion trumped up to look like a real story. Probably all roosters fans trying to put their club above ours if someone has to go or trying to convince grant/ b smith that the roosters is the pace to go

No supporters - look at the membership numbers, better than 9 clubs (inc roosters) It’s a 2 min piece of research to make the story seem valid. They can’t even do that.

They have had a couple of article bagging us recently and nothing positive. Pathetic

Agreed... Go shopping for toothpaste and try and find the best value for size and price, too much to choose from makes it a nightmare much like home grounds all over the place trying to keep everyone happy... The fam base is diluted/weakened and divided at times... When will be known as a club in its own right and not a JV

or lets cut off half the fan base that is not real smart or make business sense.
If we were winning games and in the top 4 nobody would give a damn where we play

The fact you think it would cut off half the supporter base says we have an dentity problem.

Cool . Theres clearly a general agreement amongst the certain “more knowledgeable “ same old on here , about the answer , and how the rest of us plebs have no idea . What’s the answer then ? Do enlighten us ?

Absolutely.
I’ve heard many times if we ever moved our operations and base out to the south west that we would lose all the inner west support.
It’s fickle to say the least.
It’s sad but it needs to addressed.
The club should be able to go wherever it goes and the support should follow it.

It is obvious that after 20 years we still have Balmain supporters following the West’s Tigers and West’s Magpies supporters following the West’s Tigers.
Was supposed to boost our supporter base but instead it still has us divided.

The thing i find upsetting is instead of considering the validity of the words of a couple of greats of the game and how they have come to this view, we get on the defensive and rubbish them.

It’s true. Need to go somewhere and stick with it, one location and one home ground. I don’t care if it’s campbelltown, Leichhardt or Concord.

All the top teams have their own home ground and area.

Fittler said we don't have the fanbase...that is simply not true..

So why should we believe it's true..because he's a great of the game..?

Perth, can we just take the opportunity before somebody else does. It's the right move tbh.

Who would run the club? Wests Ashfield still?

Wests Ashfield as owners should have the business nous to understand it's the right decision for the club to take the Perth opportunity. Opening an associated leagues club there isn't required but is an option. Or they could scout out some Perth investors to go in with, or even sell out to.

I'm sick of the mediocrity we need something totally fresh. The support we'd get from Perth, from the NRL, the media. It'd do wonders for us.

Mate, you are talking a load of rubbish.

Perth is an AFL town and our support there would be minimal on a week by week basis.

Our support here in Sydney would drop off so quickly it wouldn't be funny.

Why would Wests Ashfield put money into a club in Perth, Why would a Perth owner
put money into a piddly little NRL effort there, it would take at least 20 years to do
any good if at all.

Loved both Fittler and Johns as players, just sensational.

But Gee they talk so much rubbish.

If the subject of reducing Sydney teams is taken seriously - we all know that it would be logical to merge the two smallest areas in Sydney, they have had it their own way, for far too long. Minimal juniors, so they are not contributing as much as they should be to the game. Yes, I am talking about
Easts (change of name to Sydney Roosters doesn't give them a new identity) with a minimum of members and supporters - and Souffs with no where near as many members as they try and lead you to believe, probably closer to half of what they say, if you take out the members that are actually pets, yes pets, you know animals, not surprising really. How both of these clubs have not been investigated as to how they can have the players, they do and still stay under the salary cap is one of the mysteries of the world.

So Freddie and Joey if you want to really get down to it, there is plenty to talk about with these clubs (then again it is not in Freddie's interest to say anything about the Roosters that could be harmful) and Joey (my team is ok because it is a city with one team, and I'll support Freddie's agenda as well).

Get off the Tigers back, we have merged already and we know who we are....

We are the Mighty Wests Tigers, representing Sydney's Inner West and those in Sydney's Outer West that have good taste.

i just checked the map. Bankstown is 10 minutes closer to Campbelltown than Lidcombe. Just make us the Sydney Tigers. So Sydney has two teams. South Sydney has one. Parramatta City has one when they merge with Penrith. (32 mins drive) StGeorge Illawarra Cronulla merger are the racist, white bread , we grew here you flew here team. Newcastle is the genuine aussie article .Manly is the team everyone hates. Queensland has three and The Warriors are where the Polys who miss their mums play. And Melbourne makes 12 . Simples. Look at the map!
