OFFICIAL Sheens gone

The team as a whole have not played with the same urgency, they have not ran the ball and tackled as hard ever since.
Some players from have fallen away dramatically since that game.
I understand it’s the coaches job to get the players in the right frame of mind to play at their best or somewhere near it, but blame cannot be shifted off a fair few of the players who have let us down by not producing anywhere near their best since that game.
I am highly confident Benji will sort it out, give these non performers an ultimatum to produce their best on a regular basis or get out.
Benji was the coach who let this all happen though.

Sheens didn’t want to keep Hastings even though we didn’t have another halfback and signed Bateman to a contract well above his ability, he should have been sacked for those two reasons alone.

Year after year we apoint new coaches then get rid of them .We offload a bunch of players get new ones but - IMHO until we remove the IMMOVABLE OBJECTS we will never be a FORCE !!
What are the immovable objects- The CEO and maybe the Ashfield 4 out of 7 who have the ultimate total control

I read on a facebook post that Sheens is apparently suffering early signs of dementia which is why he decided to pull the pin. No idea how true that is, and coming from facebook I take it with a grain of salt. But it would explain a few things.
Continually picking Kepoa would support this theory, along with some of his other mind numbingly stupid selections, but I seriously hope he doesn't have dementia, it's a cruel disease

I agree that continually picking Kepaoa defies logic…

but who is picking the side though?

So was he stood down or did he choose to stand down - there is a big difference and have seen conflicting articles.

I said all along that the boys club appointment was heading for disaster...this is the first step next I will bet Benji cant coach an NRL side without a top assistant behind him and we will further be embarrassed by this club...
I also said many times that we need an overhaul from top to bottom but obviously Pasco and Lee rule the roost...changes need to be made sooner rather than later, punting Sheens is just deflecting from the main problems...the main problem being the ""BOYS"" club...
New experienced NRL coach with quality staff, overhaul of our depths and a professional culture all round and maybe we can be playing finals in a couple of years...as it stands I honestly dont think we make the 8 in 4/5 years even though we have a great forward pack...
I hope Im wrong and will still support the club no end,but there really needs to be an overhaul from top to bottom so we can compete at an NRL level and get rid of the basket case syndrome we have been in for years...

They should of taken you more seriously TrueTiger. How did you know?

Do you have proof on that comment ?
Everything is geared towards his takeover. No decisions that will affect him were made without his approval.
Sheens said time and again “Benji wants him” etc when discussing players.
It is naive to suggest this side improves with Benji in control a year early. His efforts this year have resulted in 3 wins so far.

I think you will find it’s a very different approach from Benji once he has full control and doesn’t have to justify any decisions he makes ti anybody else.
I’m certain Benji will be a great coach, get behind him and give him a fair chance.

Thats more a reflection of how unprofessional the rest of the squad are. That they could get themselves up to that level to support and farewell a mate but can't be bothered any other week to support each other.
Cause the office doesn't have their heart in it. A truckle down effect.

He will have to justify the losses though week to week.

"Destiny has arrived" the heading said.
I thought WOW! Everyone knows about Benji coming on board a year early.
But it was only about the Matildas.

PS Go Tillies! Go!

It would not surprise me he is of an age where things such as this can creep in, but he most likely just wants to enjoy his retirement. Prob sees Benji as ready as hes going to get didnt like the Fulton thing, which is fair enough time for Benji to swim. If he sinks its on him not Sheens now, i reckon the rumours of different visions is prob close to the mark.
I don't buy this knifing business from the mole it was Sheens who wanted to go, and the reasons behind that are probably varying.
