Based on the above squad, the obvious move here would to be move on Tumeth and re-sign Sione Fainu.

Other than that, the biggest glaring need is to upgrade the backrow position with the money available. Bateman has been underwhelming and Sukkar is unproved. We should be looking at going after a good quality backrower whos path is blocked at their current squad like Suia Wong or Egan Butcher.

Staines, To'a and Naden are fine for outside back depth and Sezer and Sullivan provide good halves depth with Latu Fainu. Mason will also provide depth at fullback.

Long term getting rid of Sullivans contract would be ideal however we need to spend 95% cap under the current rules and getting rid of Sullivan will prove challenging. The number 1 priority should be investing the $1 million we currently have into our backrow and forward depth as that is where we look lightest.

That starting team and roster is still the 17th best in the NRL.
There has to at least 5 or 6 of them moved on and replaced by better quality to give us some chance of improving.

Max Bradbury who was a NSW U/19’s prop and now at the Sharks fits this description.
He was just starting to show his dominance in NSW Cuo this season before he got injured.
Regardless he is stuck behind a long list of good standard props at the Sharks and is ripe for the picking.

Yeah definitely not top 8 quality yet but being realistic we wont be able to move on 5 to 6 duds for 5 to 6 guns in one season. Aim should be 2-3 duds swapped out for a couple guns. Focus on developing the young guys to take over the others.

No it takes money that’s not on the cap. Everyone knows it, get your head out of the sand. Everyone knows that they put most things in rooter land ‘on the tab’. Thanks uncle nick. Also the bonus of the billionaire clubs advice for money management that we can’t compete with.
As I have said there needs to be a salary cap exception for teams coming last terraces to the 1/3 of the way up. Otherwise if u don’t rort the cap u will stay down the bottom for ever!

Lol .. everyone knows they are cheating but the other 16 clubs don’t care ..: is that what you are saying?

The money management thing is real though … but that ain’t cheating

The other 16 teams do care. But if they speak.out they shall be casted to.Perth or Tasmania, even Papua New Guinea.

Need to move players on before we can sign anyone unfortunately. Personally think left wing is our biggest problem. We really struggle with metres off our own end which then puts more pressure on our forwards.

No great options but Ravalawa, Skelton, Sivo or Vunivalu the most obvious candidates to fix that problem. Personally would go either Skelton or Ravalawa as both are at least still in the prime of their careers.
