That starting team and roster is still the 17th best in the NRL.
There has to at least 5 or 6 of them moved on and replaced by better quality to give us some chance of improving.

Yeah definitely not top 8 quality yet but being realistic we wont be able to move on 5 to 6 duds for 5 to 6 guns in one season. Aim should be 2-3 duds swapped out for a couple guns. Focus on developing the young guys to take over the others.

They make much better decisions than us… The Tigers pay aging players Klemmer and Bateman $1.5m a year between them … probably more than what they pay Crighton and JWH…

it’s no point crying about them being smarter … this difference in the two sides we saw last night is a result of years of incompetence from the Tigers .., and it will take years to correct it ..

As I have said there needs to be a salary cap exception for teams coming last terraces to the 1/3 of the way up. Otherwise if u don’t rort the cap u will stay down the bottom for ever!

Not so sure about that … also the Broncos are kinda owned by Lachlan Murdoch and News Ltd … not sure anyone is shafting them over to PNG

Need to move players on before we can sign anyone unfortunately. Personally think left wing is our biggest problem. We really struggle with metres off our own end which then puts more pressure on our forwards.

No great options but Ravalawa, Skelton, Sivo or Vunivalu the most obvious candidates to fix that problem. Personally would go either Skelton or Ravalawa as both are at least still in the prime of their careers.

Yep. And poach the next generation of rep players when they are on the fringe of debuting.

Samuela is pretty much the only player we have managed to secure who fits this mould. I’d go as far as extending and increasing his current deal.
I hate going off prematurely but he is to us what Kikau was to the Panthers when they blooded him in.
Secondly I’d being looking at Tuponiua to be his Back row partner. After a slow season recovering from an ACL he is looking a fine player once more.
