Adam Doueihi #227

2,3 & 4 are all very short leaving us very vulnerable under high balls and all three of them are liabilities when defending.
Young Laulilli needs a minimum of another year in NSW Cup developing his game, the Panthers do not see Turuva as a centre, so not sure why we would and how many games do we realistically expect Olam ti play next season, I will be shocked if he plays 10 or more games.

Geez man … you are so negative on Olam …you had him medically retired two months ago… why can’t the surgery being successful as a possible outcome? Tons of athletes in various sports make recoveries from knee injuries …

Turuva may not be a Center at Penrith … but I can assure you looking at the squad for 2025 .. he at least gets an opportunity here at that position

AD has potential for us as a winger. I raised this as an option a few weeks ago after he let in a bunch of meat pies. As a winger he doesn't have to make any difficult decisions he takes the next man in the line and allows the sideline and cover to deal with any overlap. He could be our version of Lomax.

It would not take a genius to look at his stats in Defence to figure out that as a centre he is near the bottom of a long list. His attacking stats are no doubt a little better; but the reality is he runs around like a headless chook so supporting him must be a nightmare.

He was a wannabe fullback so he can take the high ball skills onto the wing. He has the size to go with it and being on the end of the line he can run all over the place like a madman and no one is going to care as he is expected to come back in off the wing and the support play can follow the broken play.

Call me a madman if you want but for mine the writing is on the wall - wing or ressies. Take it or leave it Mr Douhie.

He can’t tackle on the wing.
If we think we have major defensive issues in the centres now, which we do, wait until we see Turuva defending in the centres, that will be next level.
Olam will play less than 10 games again in 2025 mark my words
Doueihi on a bad day is currently still a better defender than young Laulilli. I’m hopeful a bit of age and maturity will fix his deficiencies, but anyone thinking or expecting him to be our saviour in 2025 will be disappointed.

I think it comes down to what other centres we will have next year ?
I am hoping we will have players that are selected before Adam Doueihi and he will be either a 14 or a Leader in reserve grade and covering for 1st grade injuries when required.
At the moment the problem is sadly we don’t have anyone that is any better so he is in our starting team.

You told me to mark your words that he would be medically retired …😂

Mark my words on Turuva …they try him at Center next year …if they don’t buy someone else of course

Da Silva is penned in at 14 next year

I know it’s highly likely we will try Turuva as a centre, his defence is worse than Doueihi’s wait and see.

Hey Tom
If that’s so mate I hope he replaces Api for at least 30 minutes each game so Api gets the rest he is needed to play at the level we need him to be when he is on the field.

Im sure this is on the cards … Maybe 20-25 mins to begin with ….

You should maybe watch Cooks try late again....

He busts through Lukes tackle right where Doueihi 'Should' be...
You see, He actually chased the play to be there....
- Your man AD (Like always) didn't even bother.

You're wrong quite a bit, And the take above is no different.

Don’t forget the ‘highlights reel’ of AD getting turned around like a spinning top then jogging back towards the line while watching his teammates struggling to bring the ball carrier down in the first half.

Or getting sat on his arse heavily in the lead up to Luke’s try saving tackle…

Standing in the background with his hands on his hips (like he was cranky with someone)
as Cook ran it under the sticks was my Highlight

I think he deserves an off season at centre to attempt to get his defence rite. We have to remember he has missed an awful lot of football

Was that the comment he made the week prior to when Benji dropped him - sorry, "managed him"? The worst thing that happened was AD's effort in the Raiders win. He has played crap ever since.
