Well I was there and watched both closely. Jnr didn’t try to make a difference seems to have little awareness. Charlie at least had a real crack.
Toa well he needs to be dropped with Jnr.
I was concerned about this too but lately with Cam Murray leading the way with his M.O.M. performances as a game-influential #13 hopefully Hastings can see the future in it.
I only watched the game last night and I agree with most of what you say, although there were some pretty dodgy calls that went against us around the ruck area!
I also was expecting worse... not that we were great, but the Warriors played a very good game.
Mostly we were out-enthused. Yes we did...
I think it's as much a Luciano problem. When at his best he plays a very up-tempo game, rip-tear-bust type footy that makes him extremely hard to contain. But that style also exposes the body to injury, and even a slight injury really takes the edge of his game. He loses that dynamic aspect to...
Saw Sheens at Henson Park watching the ressies last Saturday. Plenty of people were talking to him, no doubt asking similar things and he was obviously happy to talk to them.
But has it, up until now? Certainly not officially/publicly. I just think that he has been given enough opportunities, with enough halves partners, in enough different teams. I just don't think he can do it.
He'll be a really capable 2nd fiddle to another half, and probably at another club.
Okay, I should have written that officially, "another player has finally been given the reins".
We've been told for too long it's Brook's team when he clearly isn't up to it. In his two games Hastings looks more likely to be up to running the team so this is a public backing of him.
Agree with this on the field but there is an off-field statement being made with this change. We're being told it's official that Hastings has finally been given the reigns instead of the usual lip service that this is Brook's team.
On field, I think it's more about backing Hastings than...
Zzzzzzz
It's not like the club's financials are imploding, there are actually several employed people in place that are supposed to be taking care of the football side of things... and he's only a phone call away.
A family holiday that's already been cancelled a couple of times apparently, and...
Just catching up on this after having an extra couple of days in Sydney.
Newtown are a pretty good side and rightfully have a high expectation around them this season. They are a balanced team, mostly well organised in defence, their attack flows quite well and an excellent - I mean excellent -...
