[2022] If Madge goes, who you have as a replacement?

I would give Madge 6 rounds to get us 3/3 , I haven’t looked at who we play I just feel he needs a time frame , if we need to change coaches this will give the new guy 3/4 of a season before we do get some quality in Api and Paps , we still need 4 players besides a coach

Can't argue mate. Alot of outside the box suggestions, but that's what might be needed. We need to take a chance at making a real change to this place and changing up the formula or we really have no future.

And a lot of your comments about past history rings true too, but I do not and cannot agree with any notion of kicking us out of the comp.
Even yesterday had moments of OK (in defense), despite the horrible stats
We can pick ourselves up and do better, but remember Sheens was only brought in late last year, the pathways is being revamped, coaching streamlines across the grades has only just started, the players are what we have for the moment - changes will come, experience will come, results will come, confidence will come.

The issue with the club is the players.

Madge needs to sort out the playing roster. There should be no re-signings this year.

There are no players at the club worth keeping.

If we do have some kind of war-chest, as apparently we struggle to spend the entire cap (cause nobody wants to come here, which makes perfect sense).

Then madge has to be enough of a drawcard to attract real talent, and if he's not, then he what exactly is he for?

Maguire already had more than enough time, and many chances to build the team the way he wanted. However, in the process we are loosing good/solid players, and too many players do not improve, and a few even go backwards. The team defence and attack did not improve. He must be held responsible for the team's mediocre performance.

I like some of that, but especially the coaching change. Our coach, leaders, front office delivered nothing,... its the same quagmire.

Bring in some real change not the past because our past is not that great

Morris did well in the aftermath of the Gallen departure and the Sharks made two final series. I'd believe we may settle for one now. He was also responsible for the Pathways set up at the Sharks which has produced many good footballers.

Was always on the fence re Madge staying or going but surely the writing is well and truely on the wall. The players don’t play for him. We have had worse rosters and have played way better. I know a new coach might not fix the problem but getting worse and worse every year surely isn’t fixing the problem.

After reading some of the posts in this thread, it is clear to me if the best you can hope for is Farah or Morris or Flanagan (and there are some in here the really, really believe they are genuine chances), then we are in massive trouble.

Stop picking names from a hat, and getting on the train with your Lebanese favourites or your almost 1st grade quality coach, or believing the names tossed up in some BS newspaper. Put some GENUINE thought into it.

The reason u move Madge on is because nothing has changed the defence is still crap the attack is non existent, we are still playing one out hit ups , that’s why he has to go , Flanagan or Morris would be busting there bubble to get a crack as a senior coach again
