Adam Doueihi #227

Wow that's cutting Sleeve. Is he as bad as what the rest dished up this year. The handful of games he played coming back from serious injury I'm prepared to overlook.
What was he like last year before he was injured. I saw potential there.
Mate, i don't like bagging players, but the forum has become so disalusioned that they are escalating players performances beyond a reasonable level. AD is not the only one, but i was responding to above posts above. Brooks haters want him gone, that leaves Hastings, who would not keep pace with most 2nd rowers, but is a good player and AD who is in the same speed range but with little skill in attack or defence. We will go nowhere with this thinking.

Why wouldn't Adam try to become a marquee centre.
If he has the potential, has the will power to succeed and wants to do what's best for the team, why wouldn't he put his shoulder to the wheel and give it a red hot go at it?
It's getting to the point now that NRL contracts are paid for one's worth and not so much the position....even props are catching up in the big dollars.

Impossible to judge Douehie on the back of the rabble that was end of our season. Not one player in that team could have been expected to play to potential. No forwards, novice coach, players given to other clubs and not replaced in a team already weakened by injury, all that and returning after an ACL. There is a reason the decent players we have got perform better in better systems. I'm all for making players accountable for performance but the leadership at the club last year was nothing short of embarrassing.

I agree, Adam would have been far better off choosing a 3,4 or 13 jersey and establishing himself as the club’s best in one of those positions.
He’s a good player out of sorts for some reason, and now wanting a big contract. Laurie now is also asking for a 100% pay rise. Maybe their managers have indicated to them there’s interest from other clubs?
Someone posted that Staines needs to gain another 10kg, and the sad reality is that’s the case with too many in our squad.
We’re a bottom feeder club, Dolphins, Sharks and others are only leaving us the small fish.

Can he ball play like Hastings or Yeo or Murray do in that position ? I don't see it.
He can’t ball play now, if he could he may make a good 5/8. If he does sprint training over the summer he may make a good centre. If he bulks up and could defend consistently he may make a good 2rf. He needs to work on his game drastically over the summer to cement a position not just for us but for his career or he will end up a utility.
