Addo Carr signs with Storm...

They'll try resign Vunivalu asap, game by game his value is going up. Storm don't need JAC, don't be greedy lol

Pretty sure he's signed.

Yeah until the end of next year, but I read reports that Storm want to resign him early!

Still think he has some mad weaknesses in his game. A few length-field tries here and there are great, but Chris Lawrence used to do that too. I'm not going to cry just yet.

Woah rationality and restraint are not allowed here. Begone. This is a forum that annointed Ayshford as a NSW centre after 5 games and Moltzen as Aussie halfback after 10\. We only want dreamers here.

Tiger Torch said that he signed with the Storm while Pascoe was on extended leave, and his message to JAC's manager wasn't relayed properly.

Very similar to Korobiete when he left. Really needs to work on his defensive reads but can almost guarantee Bellamy will sort that out just as he did with Koro.

Bellamy aint sorted anything out with Koro's defence TBH, he's still as bad defensively now as he was when he was at WT. Still has some terrible errors in his game overall.

Can not believe Taylor did not rate JAC. As with the previous poster, I think it was a case of the club botching it up. Shame because you would think they would have learnt from the Koro fiasco. Seldom do quality, very fast and crowd pleasing players fall into your lap. Okay JAC is still very raw, but for a guy who has played one year of NRL the signs are so bright you need wear sunglasses

It's a precarious balance between the game-changing attack and the glaring deficiencies in defence. For every Koro there's a Uate or Grothe Jr; players who are still great in attack, but get taken advantage of in defence every week.

Personally, I would love to keep JAC, but I imagine it's too late now.

Unfortunately it's too late now, he does have defensive issues and so does Koro. Imo the only difference is the storm defence work together where we are still disjointed. Wingers are rearly ever known for their stellar defence, it is about cohesion with the inside defenders.

Why are fans of this club so delusional…
Put yourself in AC's shoes. EVEN if you "love" the Tigers...
Melbourne Storm? Or Wests Tigers?
Are you guys serious?
One of the top 3 clubs of the last decade where players continually excel.
Or the Wests Tigers
Congratulations to Ado Carr... You made the right decision.
Once this rabble of a club sorts its board out maybe in 10 years time we will have players making wise decisions that benefit us. Until then...

I bet JAC would rather stay here and I definitely would choose the Tigers over the Storm.

We have gun players all over the park and we are a good team.

We might be a good team Steve, but the Storm are an excellent team/club with a winning culture and hands down the best coach the NRL has ever produced. JAC will grow in leaps and bounds at the Storm and hopefully 😛ray: he will come back to us in a few years an even better and more complete player.

I'm not sold on all of this. The storm were so good because they rorted the cap. A coach looks great when he has the best cattle and melbourne have always had great players.

I also think that players can improve here as well. Look at Tedesco over the last couple of seasons and Moses this season. Nofo has also come on.

They did win a premiership after they shedded players. The years they cheated are certainly questionable, but not thereafter.

IMHO, Haleta shall be our LW next season, he is built like Nofoaluma, low center of gravity and very strong, he could be good attacking option.
Go Tigers

Followed NYC very closely last few seasons (except this year, maybe im losing a lot of interest in league now) but when i watched the sharks JAC was always a special talent. I was astounded when I heard we signed him. Only to let him go.

I wouldn't say Melbourne have had the best cattle over the years. Apart from Slater, Cronk, Smith & Inglis (early on) much of their teams have been made up of unknown fringe first graders who have ended up being developed into great players in a well coached team that is always in the mix for the premiership every season. Win or lose, they put in every single week, can't really say that about our mob right now, but let's face it, you wouldn't dare not put in and have to face the wrath of Bellamy!

Cap issues aside, I still rate Bellamy the best coach ever for how he has molded and delivered a consistently competitive team from an ongoing supply of predominantly average first graders. Wayne Bennett, on the other hand, has always coached teams choc full of already developed talent to get his results - the exception being Newcastle and we all know how well that worked out.

All that said, you are right though some of our guys are developing well here also and I really wish JAC was staying. I would've loved to witness his development and combination with Moses & Tedesco in the coming years, but alas that opportunity is now gone :frowning:

Very well said. I agree completely about Bellamy being the best club coach since I've been watching footy and I support your reasoning. You are right, he has had three or four gun players in most of his teams but the rest of the squad have invariably been made up with honest toilers, cast offs from other clubs or players who he has nurtured into being highly competent first grade players. His teams have made the semis nearly every year, he has won premierships (some honestly) and every team he has coached has been prepared to grind and played consistent, well organised and often mistake free football.

It's a pity we lost JAC but you watch how he goes at the Storm! No player Bellyache has targeted and brought over have failed….have they?

Ben Roberts
Junior Moors
George Rose

…I'm sure there are plenty. He has a better strike rate than most at improving players though.

Not to bag Bellamy. He has had some remarkable successes improving players, but also failures.
