He just has to run straight and hard and his game develops from there. If he starts going sideways, shimmying, trying to ghost about the field - he's having an off night and it affects his whole game.
If he runs hard and dirty early, he just gets into that rhythm where he's hard to tackle and hustles and bustles his way through the match. This influences both his early-tackle runs and his defence, where he is less likely to be caught in no-man's-land.
There have been a few times this year when Nofo was all at sea, ghosting across the field and getting wiped, his hands letting him down, rushing up in D.
But credit, he turned it around, I thought last week vs Cowboys was his best game up of 2020 until then, but he gave an extra 30% against the Dogs. Basically he and Talau turned the match by converting some half-chances and then the intercept crippled any attempted Bulldogs comeback.
Unlike last week against Cows where we let them back into the match and they rifled off 20 points, we kept on the Dogs all game and Nofo is very effective in those types of scraps.
Better attacking units however I think will still run and kick at Nofo. Because we have to be frank, Dogs and Cows are not clinical attacking powerhouses.
He was dropped last season by MADGE and has earned his spot back into the team and kept it. Attack never been an issue, Defense and attitude has improved along with the full team. Deserves to be there and hope he retains his spot otherwise looks like Jennings will get another run after injury.
The other thing he does bring to the team is morale you usually see him leading the team song and gels well with all the players, loves the Jersey.
Talau and Noffa are set and forget the rest of the year.
