Deja Vu - Crawley article

The guy is an absolute abomination - not a journalists bootlace.

In fact if he was an NRL club, he would get the wooden spoon every year.

Why we give him the time of day, is beyond me (and I just did).

Crawley - do us a favor "Pull your head in."

Ninth place will be an achievement with our run home

No doubt the naysayers will shout me down for being negative but when you look at all the sides draws I won't be surprised if we finish 12th or 13th

Some of what Craeley has said might be off the mark but most is spot on

And to add to it all ....this whole Madge applying for the Cows was true .....I think it may have come from a possible coahing applicant from Qld ...

IDC how much accuracy he's applied in the article, it only reaffirms to me how much of a credit we are to the likes of him and the NRL.
In a world of uncertainty, he should be thankful that our onfield and offield actions are currently keeping these genuises in secure employment.
I'm actually a little offended with him labelling us the NRL's most frustrating club - only us fans should be entitled to feel this - as the boardroom antics of this very club has produced enough material to earn journos a Walkley or Pulitzer Prize and despite our mediocrity we still bring fans and revenue to the game.

Not entirely wrong but lazy journalism as he pulls the same story out every year for the last 9 years and updates the names....... :hankey:

I agree with the majority of what this reporter is saying- especially about us long suffering fans, I think we should expect more from this club- anyway we can only keep our fingers crossed for the remainder of the season, starting on Saturday:blush:

If we can get an awesome rep forward and JAC next year we can make the finals. If we cant' pull some big moves I don't see us making the 8 in 2021. Keen to see the club to make some epic power plays in the market and show they can be a contender! It will be what happens off the field that matters between now and 2021.

Deja vu
I've just been in this place before
Higher on the street
And I know it's my time to go
Calling you and the search is mystery
Standing on my feet
It's so hard when I try to be me uoooh!

Hope we win as well Tigeress , but we probably need to win 4/5 of our last six now for a finals appearance

Dropping two games when we were 12 up in both was completely unacceptable and will cost us huge again

I love the passionate Forum members and their comments. What ever you think of Crawley or the Daily Telecrap the point is we are still outside of our fan base the laughing stock of the league, friends love to tell me each year another year without finals appearance and whilst we have the occassional good win which we all get excited about and like to think we have turned the corner in the end like the last 9 years ends up with another poor season. I think we need to put faith in Maguire cuase god help us if we sack another coach and go through another rebuild (seems to be our motto) and we need to invest in some quality juniors from within and other clubs. Our history of overpaying established first graders from other clubs to attrack them to come to us has not really worked. Yes Ivan really stuffed us up big time.

He's right, it's the same crap dished up year after year.

You mean by him.

Well it would be nice if we gave him a different story to write. But we can't seem to manage it.

Criticism of our team is fine IF it is fair, constructive and not motivated by malice but these creeps have hated us for years and this is really just another attempt to smear us.

I think it's undeserved for the team or the players to be called the laughing stock of the NRL. Poor organisational performance has nothing to do with the team.

This article could be taken straight off the forum, as it only readdresses and highlights the innefficiencies of our front office and draws on our recent lack of success. Tbh it's not really ground breaking but mostly provocative for fans. So I suppose job well done to Crawley for getting clicks and reads.

I actually like the media highlighting our performance, it may bring about change.

It won't, the club is in denial.

Great article... at the start of the year we were predicted 12 to 16 by most journalists.
The run home is not that bad
beat roosters under strength
lose to penrith
beat manly (4 point turnaround)
beat souths (4 point turnaround)
Melbourne - they may rest players and we generally play well against the storm style
Parramatta well they may rest players leading to semis
probably win three out of last 6

Where do they get this 300k from ? we get the money back from the Farah debarcle which helps.

If only we had not lost to Gold coast or warriors we would be likely in the 8.

Do think if we lose a few and cant make the 8 then try Madden and move Douhie to 6 experiment a bit and give Rowdy and benji the last game of the year as a send off
if we cant make it do not play Harry give Liddle and possibly Simpkin a run if we can
