I'm extremely jealous of what he gets paid, aren't you?

We are not getting value for money out of him, if he is indeed on 800K a year, I would be OK with the club carrying $500K of that to have him play elsewhere next year and put that money and spot toward another centre, winger or second rower.

I seriously don't understand what's to be jealous about. But aide from that....

Nobody knows what he's getting paid. If you heard $800k from a journo, you can safely assume the figure is pumped up significantly by an agent.

Regardless, we're not going to work our way out of this hole with a few fantasy football trades.

If we are serious at all about improving and making the 8, and then top 4, we need to ensure that the players in our NRL squad are true competitors. It is blatantly obvious that as a group the WTs contain very few players with the "effort on effort", hungry attitude or qualities that are required to win at this level.
With regard to Mbye specifically he has had ample opportunity to step up as a leader and has never really shown he has the right stuff, so which ever way you cut it, he needs to go. Probably sooner rather than later. In the meantime I'd be playing him at 14.

I was excited about M'Bye when we signed him, although I was conscious that he had been moved around a lot at the dogs. Unfortunately he has been poor, and his last two games for us have been super poor. Considering his and Packers money could sign 4 top line up and coming players, then I think he needs to go.
