Also what I said with regards to the comparison comment was he doesn't hold a candle to Cook for speed, which is factually correct. Go and check the Telstra tracker data from throughout the season. Liddle is quick off the mark but after a short distance he's running in quicksand, Cook is legitimately fast

Jacob is currently our best hooker. Despite being accused of showing him 'all the love' those of us who do think he is out best are really only stating that. How accurate his passing is, how well he tackles... I guess you can focus on the positives or the negatives of every set he plays, but I don't see anything that can't be coached, trained or managed.
And honestly, Simpkin needs more time in ressies to reach his potential. We can't be relying on him to carry a major load and we saw last year that he is not capable. A couple of years who knows? But he hasn't exactly been lighting up ressies either.

Liddle absolutely brains them in Ressies, and He's far inferior to Simpkin.
Liddle by far outplayed Simpkin in First Grade, And Reserve Grade.... Hands down

I like Lids, but I actually think that trying to turn him into a starting hooker is completely wrong. in order for him to be the player we need him to be, we need him sniffing around a tired ruck and using his speed to his advantage, which we've seen he can do, he just doesn't do it consistently as he's gassed after 35 mins.
if we can be patient with Simpkin and develop him into the starter that sets the tone, injecting Lids into the game in the shadows of half-time could be a huge asset for us moving forward. he's on borrowed time with Simpkin, Rua and Anjoul snapping at his heels, needs to prove his worth.

I like Liddle,he has his strengths.but he was a huge part of why our defence was bad this season ,not to mention how sloppy his passing game was at times.
Make or break for him in 22 we can’t afford to persist with a dummy half that is still developing his game.
