I'll be gobsmacked if Tedesco stays, 100/1 shot. They've had plenty of time to make up their mind, even Cleary has been here for >3 weeks now, if that was the thing they wanted to suss out.

Is THAT even a thing, though?

Who knows what the thing is, right?

It's not about money apparently, we have that covered.

It's not about loyalty or junior football or family ties to the region or being a hero of the region, we have that covered too.

It might have been about Jason Taylor, maybe Tedesco would have signed on if JT stayed. He had good things to say, we won't know if that was just lip service. But if Tedesco had concerns about the direction the Tigers were going and if we'd play regular finals football, surely when JT got axed Tigers would have talked to Tedesco and told him about their plan, to sign Cleary etc.

So Tedesco had not signed elsewhere (reportedly) when Cleary was signed and brought in, so he's had time to experience the new vision and coaching style. So obviously he doesn't rate Cleary, because if he had issues about stability and club direction, well you'd think he'd give the new guy a chance. But by all reports he's jumped ship within 1-2 weeks of that coach change.

Maybe he just always wanted to leave and it's taken this long to find clubs willing to pony up the kind of cash Tigers were offering.

We don't know anything about behind the scenes, but facts are Tigers are 2-1 since Cleary joined and 2/3 of our wins since he joined. The Parramatta game should have been won, it really should have been undefeated since Cleary joined. There's been a clear turn-around at the club, some key players have re-signed, Cleary presents well and is winning over the fans.

So if that isn't a positive turn-around, and honestly quite a rapid one, under the circumstances, then I don't know what is. Maybe it's become evident that for Tigers to sign the kinds of players to really turn the club culture around, we need the kind of money Tedesco and Woods absorb, and these new plans are only really possible with them moving on.

The interesting thing is that in an interview in the last 10 days Cleary made the comment, in response to a question about the offers made to Teddy and Woods, that "some people dont like changes". I found that a fascinating comment coming from a relative outsider. It suggests to me that even Cleary was surprised about how precious these young blokes are.

I got the feeling that Cleary was suggesting that Teddy and Woods didnt like the fact that the club pulled the offer from Moses. Its funny how players complain about the failures of the last 5 years but when the club makes the necessary changes to fix this, they also complain. It as if they think that somehow things can be magically fixed without any change.

Im getting the feeling he'll stay. The sad part about that is that this has dragged on so long that i will be like "whatever" if does. Whereas a month ago i'd have flipped out. Its been a total joke.

Teddy won't stay, he has said his bit and he wants to be at a big club. 💰

If he were to leave and join the Roosters, and then Roosters have a poor 2018, that would make my entire year in one fell swoop.

Imagine your best playing leaving and being proven wrong, plus the Roosters messing up, how good would that be.

Any year where the Roosters and Dogs miss the finals is a good year to me. Definitely my top-two disliked clubs, closely followed by Dragons and Parra.

Even better if the Tigers beat both the Roosters & the Dogs next year on top of them missing the finals!!

I reckon it could be about getting free food booze latte's clothes petrol women and smokes for life…something the illuminate Rorters can offer their players that Clubs like Wests Tigers can't...

We have an Ivan but even he can't force Tedesco to sign...

How did it work out for you ?….the free women , booze , clothes and smokes , when you went from the Berala Bears to the Eastern Suburbs

Blew there Red Cordial budget out of the Park..

Not just the Rorters either….I know a bloke who owns a Bar & Grill in Queensland and to this day when Locky and his pals show up...it's free Schnitz. beer and pills to their hearts content and a Cab Charge home....Bronco Thoroughbreds....

I think Ted will stay TBH.

After seeing McQueen, Matulino, Reynolds commit he must see this club is heading in the right direction. A few more signings and we will have a great roster.

Why are you doing this to yourself? Highly unlikely he's staying and the only good signing is Matulino.

So it appears Teddy will be signing tomorrow afternoon.

I was really hoping he would change his mind and stay a tiger.

I was told the NRL has now agreed to the terms of his contract. This was the hold up apparently.

I have also been told he may waive the COP so that it can be announced straight away.

So far my mate has been pretty spot on with his info. Is a major sponsor of the roosters so i am sure he has some inside knowledge.

He isn't a 100% about the contract amount but he things its $850,000 a year plus third parties of around $150\. Take that for what you will.

He did say that Teddy going mean SKD and Fergo won't be there next year.

Looks like he has signed with the roosters.

Just been on the phone with one of the major sponsors for the chooks. Dealings through work.

He let me know it's just been done.

He often let's me know what's going on with them and has always been on the money.

So the Rorter Sponsor lied on April 10…

Yes cause we all know these things are straight forward.

Didn't say he signed. Just said it was done. Most likely agreed to terms.

If you also check the dates that was before all the Teddy to rooster stuff took off, From the "insiders" on the forum they still had teddy staying here.

Yeah people with inside knowledge, including me with a snippet from a Tigers physio,
had said "Yes, Teddy is staying. He is very happy here at the moment,"

Tedesco changes his mind more than any other player and let people voice their knowledge without shooting them down.

We all know its coming, it will still suck when it happens but sooner rather than later please.

Yeah it's gonna hurt. Watched the replay of the Eels game (missed it on the day) and what a player he is. MOM in a losing side, we will always miss him.

Precious? That's an understatement
As others have suggested, the finger pointing at the club has started. I read an interview with woods where he stated point blank that by putting a deadline on his contract we had forced his hand and virtually had to sign elsewhere as WT obviously didn't want him. He told the club he wasn't ready to make a decision before the clubs deadline date and therefore when they pulled he was forced to sign elsewhere.
Whoever interviewed however didn't ask why after 9 months he wasn't ready or why within a week of the club pulling his offer he was ready to sign elsewhere? Nope, all the clubs fault though :crazy
