Galvin's name would have been in books of most NRL clubs long before he hit first grade.

Sure they are.Galvins parents are meeting with trent Robinson this week I heard
Oh dear.I just can’t see having Jerome will improve this team , unless we get at leased 4 hard nosed forwards , if we get that we can get by with the backs we have , but we need grunt up front for the half’s to do there thing
That seems to be the M.O. for too many players today.Yeah, he’ll go.
If he’s telling people this club is stunting his development after we’ve played the prick all year as an 18 year old, then we won’t keep him happy. We are years and years away from finals footy unless we keep all our talent together and boost them with 5 or 6 more outside hire pro’s in their mid to late 20’s.
It’s much easier to just join a club already setup for success.
If Latu Fainu was fit and playing well you'd see a different attitude from Galvin.Sure they are.
Yeah agreed. If Latu Fainu was fit and playing well you'd see a different attitude from Galvin.
You reckon maybe that is why he is kicking up a stink now whilst Latu is unavailable? Maybe Latu is better and the Galvin team are concerned about him being shown upIf Latu Fainu was fit and playing well you'd see a different attitude from Galvin.
Galvin or his parents probably feel the same. Hence; lets get the $$$$ in the bank now?I think regardless of whether Galvin wants to leave or not the club needs to put a line in the sand and hold him here for the next two seasons, I firmly believe Richo will do this. Promote Latu into the halves when he is fit and Galvin can play KOE, unless he changes his mind. I personally think Latu will turn out to be the better player anyhow.
Please do not put Galvin and hunt in the same comparison world. Hunt steers the ship around does all the little things right. Plus he’s been doing it for years not two minutes. Without Hunt drag queens would be not much better than us. Galvin playing we are still 2-10, 9 in a row hardly crucial.Flano said no to the release, so he signed on for another year?
You don’t suppose his contract was upgraded or some other carrot introduced?
I think some players ask for a contract upgrade and perhaps are not taken seriously or clubs are slow to react, hence the threats to leave as a motivator?
Both Galvin and Hunt are similar in that they both are crucial to their teams success, so it’s understandable
As long as no one finds out, you’re sweet.
Our club needs to stop telling the world how good our juniors are.
You don’t hear Bellamy or a Bennett talk up their young blokes like we do.
One of their young guns has a cracking good game and they’ll say “yeah, he’s coming along slowly, still lots to work on, but it’s encouraging”.
One of our young blokes has a pearler and we’re shouting from the rooftops “this kid will captain his country one day, it’s encouraging because we have another 4 or 5 coming through just like him in the next year or so”.
Can you explain that in a different way?The whole “won’t release him unless we get a good trade” thing is a myth.
It doesn’t happen in real life. We didn’t get it for Ivan, Aloaia, Matterson. Dragons didn’t get it for Lomax and Warriors didn’t get it for AFB.
If we let him go we’ve lost a player on minimum wage who happens to be in the top 3 players in the top 30.
What’s happened with Da Silva? He was the toast of the club last year, but this year? I’ve almost forgotten he’s still with us.I don’t buy the juniors thing … we have been hearing it for years but nothing changes … plenty here do believe it from what I read … The only way they will get out of this is to buy some cheap NRL level players that actually perform on the field .. just like the Dogs this year and the Warriors last year ..
Stepping stone, great I would go nowhere near an upgrade on him if that’s the case. Offer him only an upgrade if he extends further two more seasons minimum. Otherwise just use him to grade Latu in and then back to KOE or he can play lock!I am pretty confident from what I have heard he will be gone at the end of his contract, that was the feeling at the start of the year we were a stepping stone. He has a manager that knows how to get this stuff done end of next year he announces he is leaving and agitates for a release for 2026, and he has Stage Parents too. When he leaves it won't be to St George either it will be one of Roosters or perhaps Penrith.
what can we do, hopefully we don't lose latu fainu in the process (we shouldnt)

If he stays the two years … he has gotta be playing first grade to want to keep him ..
If his attitude doesn’t change and he prefers to play NSW Cup .. you may as well trade him at least 1 year early and try to get something for him …
I’m hoping that he might change his attitude when JL arrives … they still have to start winning though

Richardson did link the upgrade to an extension of his contract. Intuitively, I tend to think this is as much a strategy to know where he (or is manager is at). A rejection will confirm all we need to know hence the comment about anti-tampering.I can’t see Richo giving the kid an upgrade without a few more years agreed then letting him go 12mths later.
