$700,000 year 1
$1,300,000 year 2
$1,300,000 year 3 clubs option
Take it or take off
Our club needs balls
And not footballs either
If the deal is not already done then we need to cut all ties and move on
Take up a few of the best off contract players on 12 month deals and make them work for a longer contract
Big clean out in 2021 and we try and start again with a vault full of money

Nooo!
So we have money now. We have maybe 2 players worth 700K. Next two years we could be trying to retain someone. We should do the exact opposite. Get someone we know is good and frontload that contract while we have the cash. Then in the next 2-3 years we will actually have the cash to build the team.

Yeah, could get another Matterson, pay him huge dollars upfront and then be forced to let him go when the stone kicking starts, as he demands more cash for the following season/s.

With Maguire Overseas I wonder what that means regarding 'the meeting' with Latrell Mitchell..

Souffs circling .. let's see how tough the Rorters are after they declared they would not release Mitchell this year to the Bunnies .. !!

Bunnies are now cashed up after the NRL released the Burgess salary back to them .. so will it be Arrow or Mitchell .. or both to the Bunnies.

Who says they’re circling? I’ve seen a number of news Ltd articles saying they are now real chances but I haven’t seen a direct quote or even talk of a meeting...seems that they’re just creating their own dialogue as they have nothing else to write about.

Does anyone know how about coach been overseas?
Has he gone on holidays as its seems like a weird time considering this is the last week before Xmas and we have the Q&A session

And we're in the middle of a battle for our biggest signing ever...

Suggests that it's either done, or we've already missed out.

Another suggestion is that he could be on an overseas (UK) fishing expedition.

What I find interesting is that Latrell was meant to catch up with Fittler at the Blues camp and he burned that meeting too.

Not sure what's going on in this kids head, but he needs to start communicating with people openly and honestly.

My view is that we didn't do ourselves any favours by pulling the contract offer and leaving it in his court to get back in touch. I know we spun it to say that the money was committed to him and we had to pull it unless we had certainty, but we could have continued other negotiations without being passive aggressive. If we happened across a player - pull the offer then.

What will come out in hindsight and when the facts are reported is that ultimately, we have the best offer available. In fact, we are the only offer that's even close to what he's asking.

The fact he won't commit to a contract with us given no one else is really in the ballpark suggests he doesn't want to play at the Tigers.

On the other hand, if the Tigers were resigned to losing Mitchell, we probably would have sorted out 28 or 29 of our squad by now, so fingers crossed it's still on.

Whatever happens, it has to be one of the strangest contract sagas I've seen in a while.

Yep, over 40 days now, it's certainly dragging on. Let's hope we have a plan b or even a plan c...

How long do you think Canberra have taken to sign Wighton and still havnt done the deal? The T Brothers were in negotiations with Manly for months before they committed. Really think the reaction to the time frame is over the top.

Training goes back 6 Jan with Christmas/New Year in between...I think that's the only thing people are worried about...6 Jan seems to have set a deadline for a decision and we're closing in on that date

Yes, but it was all the 'inside sources' saying it was done about a month ago that has led to the frustration.

Listening to and believing "inside sources" on an anonymous forum leaves yourself open to being fooled more than once.
